If I were more of a developer (rather than just being a designer and an editor) I probably wouldn't call myself a developer unless I worked directly in the code *without* a plugin to help with the CSS...but that would just be my own standard. There are all kinds of developers, and each one has his own way of working.
What I can say is that, based on looking at your site for a few minutes, it looks like he's got it set up to look pretty much as I would expect the Lifestyle Pro theme to look like.
Of course there are some things he could probably tweak to make things look a little bit "better"...for example, I would deviate from the way the theme is originally set up and I would want to have all the text in those front-page blurbs to be set flush left rather than centered...but I'd say he's doing a decent job...at least from my limited perspective.

July 21, 2015 at 6:43 pm in reply to: Winning Agent Theme – Mobile Responsive Stops Working – Why? #160057MoodyRivieraMemberI just took another look, and now I would say that *parts* of the home page look responsive, but other parts are not so responsive...not sure how to say it, but some parts are "not as responsive as they could be." So yes, something does not seem quite right.

MoodyRivieraMemberWow. Great to hear that.

MoodyRivieraMemberHave you ever tried using the "Inspect Element" feature of the Chrome browser? Using that, you can get an "x-ray view" of your CSS code, and it will help you see where some of the things such as "extra space" are coming from.
Here's a video tutorial that might help:
I used "Inspect Element" to find at least one way to decrease the amount of extra space below your "CONTACT" area...if you look in your style sheet you will see the following code:
.site-header {
background: #319a54 url(images/pattern.png);
background-size: 10px 10px;
color: #fff;
padding: 40px 0 200px;
overflow: hidden;
}I was able to remove a lot of that extra space by changing the "padding-below" number (currently 200px) to a lower number.
Maybe you can try that.

MoodyRivieraMemberWhat @detroitwidget said about parallax stuff being hot but now fading...I agree with that 100 percent...one more reason to use the Altitude Pro theme (if that's the look you're going for).

MoodyRivieraMemberThe boxes look good.

MoodyRivieraMemberThanks @samnz. Looks like good info...I'm keep a note on it for my future reference.

MoodyRivieraMemberHere's something else you might want to consider:
First, what you have there on the home page doesn't look all that "awful" Yes, it doesn't look great...but it doesn't really look that bad...and really...the purpose of excerpts like this is to just be a brief intro...with emphasis on the word "brief."
If I were working on your site I would go with a much shorter excerpt.
*MoodyRiviera*
MoodyRivieraMemberAhhhhhhhhh...yes...the wisdom of clients. 🙂
*MoodyRiviera*
MoodyRivieraMemberThanks @samnz,
I see that the image you're referring to is 1900 x 1250 pixels..fairly close to the size of the one I saw on that other site. So it looks like an image anywhere around those two sizes should work.*MoodyRiviera*
MoodyRivieraMemberPrivacy...is now nothing more than an illusion. Anyone who thinks they have any privacy is just fooling themselves. Privacy is a thing of the past, and this Google fonts stuff is just not worth worrying about.

MoodyRivieraMemberYou might try using the Parallax Pro theme...because your customer likes the "movement"...apparently it doesn't give him/her that queasy feeling some people get when confronted by the two motions in different directions...ha ha ha...but since the customer likes that movement, use the Parallax Pro theme, and just alter the other parts a bit...use some different graphics, etc...to get it looking more like the Altitude Pro theme.
Although design and "look and feel" are pretty subjective, the two themes really do have a lot of similarities.

MoodyRivieraMemberThanks...I hope it works out great for you.

July 20, 2015 at 12:18 pm in reply to: How do I enlarge photos that are in my primary sidebar? #159913MoodyRivieraMemberNot sure how you're doing it, but whenever I've wanted featured images to appear in various places, I've created my featured image to be close to the size I'll want it to appear...and I've set the featured image in the spot in the "edit mode" where it shows to set the featured image.
In other words, for example, I'm using the Epik theme on a customer web site, and when I add a featured image to a post, and then choose that post to be part of the home page (not as part of a sidebar), the beginning text of the post appears in that part of the Home page along with a small image that goes in a circle...and that's the featured image...and I haven't had any problem with image re-sizing.
But that doesn't really apply to your problem...and I don't think I've ever used featured images where a "featured page widget" chose the featured image...maybe that's why I haven't had this problem...I don't know...
Here's something I saw on a web site that might give you a clue:
"Adding a picture as a Featured Image is easy, but it gives you almost no control over your image size (to change a Featured Image’s display size requires editing the page template or overriding with CSS)."I"m sorry I'm probably not much help, but maybe some of these links would help:

MoodyRivieraMemberAll thanks and high praise to Erik (Sherlock) Holmes for digging into this and rooting out the offending code. As his biographer and chronicler of his exploits, I may write up this case as a story in the "Continuing Adventures of Erik (Sherlock) Holmes" – due out in 2025.
Truly,
Dr. John Watson, Esq.P.S. Mr. Holmes wondered if I (as a Macintosh snob) might shed any light on the problem from the Macintosh viewpoint, and I would that, even though Yosemite is a major PIA, I doubt that it has anything to do with the problem you're having. Same as you, I don't run any "protection" on any of my Macintoshes, and never have had a virus or any other malware, dating back to 1988.

MoodyRivieraMemberSince no one has responded to your question, I'll take a couple of guesses:
1. Are you running any kind of caching plugin? It doesn't look like you are, but if you are...turn it off and see what happens.
2. Looks like you're running a "testimonial rotator" plugin. I wonder if that might be conflicting with the slider.
3. Try turning off all the plugins except the slider and see if that helps.
4. Try a different slider, such as Soliloquy.

MoodyRivieraMemberSo lucky to have Erik the Red (otherwise known as Erik the Barbarian) working on this problem. 🙂
