You didn't specify if you're referring to the Windows or Macintosh version of Firefox, so I checked your home page in the Macintosh version of Firefox, and although it loaded a bit slower in Firefox than it did in Chrome, it wasn't *that* much slower.
One thing that would help is to work a bit harder at optimizing your graphics. I have no idea what quality of graphics you had to work with, but most of your graphics are very UNsharp, and weigh in at larger file sizes than necessary...and of course that can cause your pages to download slower than they should.

MoodyRivieraMemberMy favorite is BlogVault (http://www.blogvault.net).
Not only does BlogVault have incredible features that really help you monitor the health of your backups, but their personal technical support is fabulous.
I've been a happy user of BlogVault for well over a year now.

May 9, 2015 at 11:17 am in reply to: Image File Typer To Use For Responsive Themes – .PNG or .SVG. Google Speed Test #151278MoodyRivieraMemberHello,
I've looked at the images on your web site, and I suggest that you ask your graphics person to try re-creating the images as JPEG files rather than PNG files.
I downloaded one of your graphics (ecig-and-mod-.chargers.png) and read its file size at approximately 72k.
I re-created the file as a JPEG, and adjusted the compression settings and came out with a file size of approximately 34k. The JPEG I created weighed in at about half of your PNG file, and looked just as good.
If you do something like this will all the files on your site...and if your graphics person really understands how to optimize JPEG files...the savings in download time could be considerable.
Another thing to think about: If your site seems to load fairly fast as it is, I wouldn't get too hung up on all those "speed tests"...although you really should optimize your graphics for best look vs. smallest file size.

MoodyRivieraMemberThis story proves that...as usual...you get what you pay for when you hire a developer.
July 12, 2014 at 10:15 am in reply to: How to install Genesis Framework and Themes from a Mac #114026MoodyRivieraMemberWhen installing these things, there is no difference between doing it on a Macintosh compared to Windows, etc.
Here's a video (by StudioPress) that should show you exactly what you need to know:
MoodyRivieraMemberLynne,
Thank you. I tested that and it worked! Thank you so much for the fast and good answer. (Don't worry if you check the site again and see that nothing is different, because I won't be actually applying that change until my customer approves...but I did try it out and it works great.)
Thanks again.*MoodyRiviera*
MoodyRivieraMemberJust checked your site on an iPad, and it looks great...don't see any problems.
MoodyRivieraMemberIt looks like this is a real problem...after reading your post I checked a few sites using Safari on the iPad...and very quickly I realized that (at least as far as I can tell) there's no way to "hover"...at least no "hover" in Safari for iPad.
So I guess this isn't a problem with the theme.
Here's something that addresses this issue...lots of other people discussing this also when I Googled it:
http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/47016/how-do-i-hover-on-the-ipadMoodyRivieraMemberWow...I think it looks great. I've been thinking about using this theme for something, but whenever I follow links to sites that say the are using this theme so I can check it out, things usually don't look that great. You must have figured out how to do it right.
MoodyRivieraMemberThanks...I always really appreciate it when people tell us how they solved the mystery...helps a lot for people like me who are just muddling through things.
MoodyRivieraMemberWow...really nice.
MoodyRivieraMemberI have a site using the Magazine theme....so I took at look at the "sneak peak" Brad linked us to, and I think I like the look of the old theme a lot better than the Pro version.
If I decide to *not* upgrade to the "Pro" version, am I running a greater risk that some day my older Magazine theme will become incompatible with newer versions of Genesis and then won't run anymore?
I will appreciate any and all opinions..thanks.
MoodyRivieraMemberNot sure I totally understand the question (or the problem), but I just typed in "gannaway mercer" without the quote marks, and your listing came out on top...and it's not just the Google places listing.
Here's a screenshot:
MoodyRivieraMemberChrisGray: This sounds similar to a problem I had with the Enterprise theme several months ago...and one of the more illustrious experts here (#Anitac) solved the problem for me.
The fix was beyond my understanding, so she dug in and fixed it for me, but apparently there's a problem with the PHP code in the Enterprise theme that causes some things to not show up on the home page.
She fixed it and everything was OK then.
Not sure what she did to fix it, but maybe she'll see this note, and will come and give you some help.
September 26, 2013 at 8:55 am in reply to: Remove in Footer "Metro Theme on Genesis Framework" #64292MoodyRivieraMemberBrad...I had this same question the other day (related to a different StudioPress theme)...and spent a bunch of wasted time looking for answers...got no good answers...came here to the StudioPress forums and found an answer you had previously provided for this question (related to a different StudioPress theme) and the problem was solved easily. Thanks so much for your help.
MoodyRivieraMemberUsually I don't try to answer questions, because I'm not a highly skilled developer, but since you haven't gotten any responses yet, I'll say this:
I discovered a great plugin by the name of "Magic Action Box" the other day.
I haven't used it yet, but I watched a tutorial that showed how to use it (even showed how to use it connected with MailChimp)...a very nice tutorial:
The tutorial shows how to customize the boxes...and it seems that there is a high degree of customization possible.
I hope this helps you at least a little bit.
MoodyRivieraMemberCan you give us the URL of your site, please?
MoodyRivieraMemberAll right!!!!!!!
I was in a bad mood because I couldn't figure this out...but now I'm happy because you both have helped me.
Thanks to Susan for the fast and helpful advice. I tried what you said, but it caused problems with places where I actually needed the background color.
Then I came back here and saw Garyl's instructions, and that was the next part of the key.
Due to my minimal knowledge of coding, it took several tries for me to figure out where to put the new class in the HTML (after I created the new class in the stylesheet, but eventually I got it, and the PayPal button now looks great.
Thanks so much for all your help.
MoodyRivieraMemberWow...OK...thanks. I'm happy to hear that I wasn't totally crazy when I couldn't find that code in the functions.php file. I replaced the code with your new code (in the home.php file), and now it works.
Thanks so much to both of you...bandj and anitac...working over the weekend to help out a poor guy.
MoodyRivieraMemberHere's all the code that's in my functions.php file. I don't see anything like what you both (Anitac and bandj) say is in there.
So if that code is not in the functions.php file, then where is it?
As I said earlier, I found some code that was *close* to what you referenced...but it was in the home.php file...not the functions.php file...although when I tried putting your code in there, the site totally crashed with a syntax error.
Any ideas?
