To accomplish what you want with the genesis Sample theme, you have the change the max-width of the genesis-footer-widgets wrap. Add this to your style.css:
.genesis-footer-widgets .wrap { max-width: 100%; }

Have you requested your free website audit yet?April 14, 2016 at 8:39 am in reply to: Author Pro — how do I add padding to front page text widgets #183604Victor FontModeratorYou've already got separate CSS blocks for the three text blocks with the same background color assigned to them. You can consolidate this code and add padding to it there as well:
section#text-23, section#text-6, section#text-32 { background-color: cornsilk; padding: 30px; }

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorCan you post a link to an example? If you are trying to use shortcodes in posts and pages, they should just work if you have them defined in your system. If you are trying to use them in widgets, they will not work unless you add add_filter('widget_text', 'do_shortcode'); to your functions.php.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModerator@creativegifts, on your site you can change the content width to a max of 733px. That's all the room you have in that layout. You'll find the .content CSS in style.css at line 511.
.content { float: right; width: 733px; }

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorIt's because there's something wrong with the markup in your author box. This is the code from your webpage:
<section class="author-box" itemprop="author" itemscope="itemscope" itemtype="https://schema.org/Person"> <div class="left"> <img pagespeed_lazy_src="https://getmovil.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/100x100xMauricioMacas.jpg.pagespeed.ic.Vg9A1mhRD5.jpg" width="100" height="100" alt="Mauricio Macas" class="avatar avatar-100 wp-user-avatar wp-user-avatar-100 alignnone photo" src="/pagespeed_static/1.JiBnMqyl6S.gif" onload="pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);"/> </div> <div class="right"> <h3 class="author-box-title"> Autor: <span itemprop="name">Mauricio Macas</span></h3> <div class="author-box-content" itemprop="description"> <p>Soy un fanático de la Tecnología Móvil, Blogger y Programador Freelance de Aplicaciones Android. Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorIf you click on the red comment word, you'll see a message that says the comment is not a property of person. Somehow your comments are being nested in the schema for the author box. Not quite sure how you would fix that.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorYou didn't lose the responsive menu. It's there but it's hidden behind the background image of the front-page-1 widget area, which is interesting because background images are supposed to be... well, in the background. Add z-index: 10; and position: relative; to .responsive-menu-icon::before and you'll see the hamburger.
I'm not seeing the white band you're asking about. Use the mobile test site: http://www.studiopress.com/responsive/

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorThe Genesis Responsive Header plugin is throwing several jQuery errors. Usually, when you have that many errors, scripts that come after won't load. That's probably why you are seeing the other error.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?April 12, 2016 at 9:00 am in reply to: adding home page template to genesis frameworks theme #183446Victor FontModeratorNo, you don't have to combine the header. You have to assign the wd_slide() to an action hook. I might use genesis_before_content_sidebar for an XHTML theme.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?April 11, 2016 at 5:04 pm in reply to: adding home page template to genesis frameworks theme #183419Victor FontModeratorThat tutorial you looked at was very simplistic. You have a very old XHTML theme so a lot of the tutorials for hooks and such won't work since a lot of them are written for the latest versions of Genesis and HTML5. However, your theme does apparently have a front page template. From looking at your source code, it appears that you have a custom front page formatted with a template named page-template-front-page-php. You should be able to modify that file, but be careful, keep a backup copy, and edit through FTP. If you make a mistake with just one character in PHP, you'll bring the site down.
Truthfully, if you don't know PHP, you may be better off asking a developer for help.
