September 23, 2019 at 11:41 am in reply to: Why do my pages look so different in the visual editor compared to Chrome? #493689Victor FontModerator
Your pages look identical in Firefox, Safari, and Chrome. I see no differences. You're probably seeing cached versions of the style sheet in your browser.
" If I go into the HTML editor and try to add extra lines or paragraphs, wordpress won't save the changes."
This is how WordPress has always worked. It has nothing to do with the Genesis Framework or your Amped theme. If you want to change and save HTML, do not use the visual editor. The WordPress visual editor rewrites HTML.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorYour theme is a custom 3rd-party theme. It is not a Studio Press theme. We can't help you fix this, but I will tell you that the theme is not compatible with Genesis 3.x.
I looked at your theme's style sheet and one of the very first directives is an import of the main Genesis style sheet:
@import url("../genesis/style.css");The Genesis Framework no longer includes CSS styles, but your theme depends on it. Child themes are supposed to use their own style sheets, not depend on anything from the framework.
Your theme was built incorrectly and unless you can restore your site from a backup, chances are that this error cannot be fixed without rebuilding the site with a proper child theme.

I'm not making a recommendation one way or the other. Whether you upgrade or not is strictly your decision.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorI don't think you should be pasting HTML into WordPress unless you're pasting into a Custom HTML block. WordPress does all kinds of things to rewrite HTML they it thinks it should be written. It's always done this, even before Gutenberg.
Unless you post a link to the site and the page causing the issue, we can't help you without seeing the CSS.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorThe code you are using is designed to work with a menu in the header location. Without seeing how your menu locations are defined, the code is probably wrong for your site. Change the word "header" to the location of your target menu and it should work.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorThis is not an official Studio Press support site. It is a community forum where answers are provided by volunteers. We're end users just like you. We have no affiliation with Studio Press.
To receive official support, you have to open a ticket or post a message about the plugin in the plugin's support forum. We can't help you here or fix the issue.
I'm closing this post to further responses.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?September 18, 2019 at 4:20 am in reply to: Why i am blocked from facebook group "Genesis WordPress"? #493608Victor FontModeratorThis is not something we can help you with. Neither this site, not the Facebook are official Studio Press support sites. Both sites are community volunteer sites where questions are answered by volunteers with no affiliation with Studio Press. We're end user's just like you.
If you're having a problem on Facebook, you'll have to ask the moderators of that group. The two sites are not connected.

<script>
jQuery(document).ready(function ($) { "use strict"; //SavvyPro Custom Scroll to ID Script $('a[href*="#"]').on('click', function(e) { e.preventDefault(); $('html, body').animate( { scrollTop: $($(this).attr('href')).offset().top, }, 500, 'linear' ); }); }); </script>

As for Genesis Extender, that's a personal choice. I don't have a recommendation one way or the other. I haven't used it in years. I have my own workflows that don't depend on additional plugins.
