    Hi,
    I am fairly new to WP and the website for the school that I work at (stmaryspri.org.uk) uses a child version of the Genesis theme.

    Today, I stupidly updated WP and now the webpage main menu will display correctly in Chrome but not IE/Edge or Safari.

    I know this has probably been asked a million times before but I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction for a solution to the problem or write it in big idiot proof instructions so that I will learn my lesson and check before I update?

    Currently running WP 5.2.3 Genesis 3.1.2

    Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Your theme is a custom 3rd-party theme. It is not a Studio Press theme. We can't help you fix this, but I will tell you that the theme is not compatible with Genesis 3.x.

    I looked at your theme's style sheet and one of the very first directives is an import of the main Genesis style sheet:

    @import
    url("../genesis/style.css");

    The Genesis Framework no longer includes CSS styles, but your theme depends on it. Child themes are supposed to use their own style sheets, not depend on anything from the framework.

    Your theme was built incorrectly and unless you can restore your site from a backup, chances are that this error cannot be fixed without rebuilding the site with a proper child theme.
