Yes, I saw that too, but I've never heard of Windows ASP.net. Is it a platform like WordPress or just a programming language? Do companies like SquareSpace or Wix use this technology? And why is it so darn fast, as compared to WordPress?
RavenManiacParticipantHi Victor,
I ended up using the hooks feature within Genesis Extender, a plugin I'm already using, which worked great! Thanks again for your help.
BTW, where is the best place to learn about hooks and what they do?
RavenManiacParticipantThanks Victor. I'll give it a go.
RavenManiacParticipantHow can a bot leave a comment when no comment field exists?
RavenManiacParticipantExcellent. Thanks Victor.

March 27, 2018 at 11:41 pm in reply to: Font Awesome Code Being Stripped from Widgets, Pages, and Posts? #218386RavenManiacParticipantThanks Victor. I think my problem was I was using the text editor, but for some reason, I switched to the visual editor and my code got stripped out.
Quite frankly, I didn't think it was a problem to switch between them. I knew that my code wouldn't likely be visible in the visual editor, but I didn't know it would get stripped out.
Is there any way to set WordPress or Genesis to only use the text editor?
RavenManiacParticipantOk, I figured out how to use them:
<span class="ion-checkmark" color=#ff0000"></span>
And I figured out how to style them:
.ion-checkmark { color: red; font-size: 4rem; }
But how do I target them on a specific page?
RavenManiacParticipantThanks. So how do I add Ion Icons to a Studio Press template?
RavenManiacParticipantThanks Victor. Since it's a work-in-progress I really can't, but I will at some point. Thanks for your suggestion.

RavenManiacParticipantDo you know if Font Awesome is built into the Monochrome Pro theme?
RavenManiacParticipantGot it. Thanks Victor.
RavenManiacParticipantOk, sounds good. Thanks Sridhar.
RavenManiacParticipantThanks, Sridhar. The reason I was looking for another calendar plugin was I discovered a conflict between two of the plugins I'm using that causes rogue code to appear on one of my websites, which you can see here at the bottom of the page: http://williamsburgmemorialpark.com/calendars/
The conflicting plugins are The Events Calendar and CM Tooltip Glossary Pro+. When I deactivated CM Tooltip Glossary Pro+, the problem went away, but I need both.
One suggestion, which apparently worked for another user (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/strange-code-at-bottom-of-calendar-view/), was to use yet another plugin called Plugin Logic (https://wordpress.org/plugins/plugin-logic/) to prevent CM Tooltip Glossary Pro+ from loading on the calendar page.
However, that plugin hasn't been updated in 2 years, so I'm reluctant to use it. Something else that may be happening is that one of the plugins may be loading its own JQuery library, which I don't think it should be doing.
If you have time, I would love to know what you, or anyone else who's willing to help, thinks about all of this. Thanks!
RavenManiacParticipantHey Sridhar, I saw it a few hours ago and have already used it in my latest website.
Thank you so much for doing that. My new website should be done the end of this week. So far, I've used three of your tutorials on this one site and everything is working great!
RavenManiacParticipantThanks, Sridhar. I actually chose the Monochrome theme instead, partly because of its built-in mobile menu, which is pretty good.
RavenManiacParticipantYes, between the site header/nav and the site inner. I'm using Monochrome Pro.
In fact, I just finished your tutorial on adding a Soliloquy slider to Front-Page-1. I'm having a bit of a problem with a 20px black bar below the slider, which I posted on your website.

RavenManiacParticipantI spent a fair amount of time working out this solution you may be interested in.
Wow! That's outstanding Brad. Nice work.
