Could Dynamik Website Builder be used for this?

@essaysnark, I know you said there will be a bit of a learning curve, especially if I don't know PHP. I didn't realize PHP knowledge was required to modify WordPress templates. Exactly how much PHP training will I need? Can I use Genesis Extender to help with my lack of PHP?

Might be helpful to post a link. 🙂

Thanks for your post and advice essaysnark. I think that's exactly how I'll proceed. I'm just waiting for a Studio Press promotion, which I was told is forthcoming, so I can purchase the Studio Press Pro-Plus Package at a further discounted price.

I know the Pro-Plus Package is already discounted, but do they ever run any specials to reduce the price even further?

Thanks Kelly. It sounds like I'm making the right choice.

I have a few friends who are NYG fans. It'll be interesting to see how our teams do this year. Unfortunately, I haven't been keeping track of the draft so I have no idea who we added.

    That's good to hear.

Do you think you're a better coder because of Dynamik? May I ask why you purchased Extender?

Thanks Summer. My preference is themedy so I think I will give them a shot. You don't happen to know of any discount codes for their service? 🙂

    Nice. Thanks for the links.

I noticed that many of the Genesis themes tend to be pretty plain. Is that done by design to ensure seamless upgrades and an easier migration to other themes?

Also, it seems like Genesis, and perhaps even WordPress, relies on plug-ins to add functionality and special effects. How does the use of plug-ins affect Genesis upgrades?

I was actually referring to something like this: http://theme-fusion.com/avada/3-column/ What do you call this effect?

I heard Dynamik was a really good option for learning code, since it writes and displays the code you'll need to achieve each affect. Thanks for the offer of help.
