I would say it's a hosting issue - one minute you site takes 20+ seconds to load other times 2 seconds - GoDaddy shared hosting can be problematic

Coolest GuidesneilgeeMemberThe keyword tag is pretty much redundant, it has no value to search engines. I wouldn't bother.

Coolest GuidesneilgeeMemberI would do the changes in the one CSS file and just keep the changes together so you know what's been edited, and it's one less server request, but if you wanted the 2nd CSS file you can add it in via a function in your functions.php file.
function mytheme_customcss() { wp_enqueue_style('customcss', get_stylesheet_directory_uri () . '/wp-content/themes/executive-pro/custom.css'); } add_action('admin_init', 'mytheme_customcss');

Coolest GuidesneilgeeMemberYoast disables inbuilt settings as you only need to run one, I disagree that Yoast doesn't work well on Genesis, it works the same way as on any other theme.

For multiple you can work it in as an array

Coolest GuidesneilgeeMemberIf( is_page( 49 ) ) { //code }
The above example targets the page with an ID of 49

Coolest GuidesneilgeeMemberTry the Google data structure tool to see if you have done it right, I have more info here - http://coolestguidesontheplanet.com/adding-google-plus-author-profile-genesis-theme/

Coolest GuidesneilgeeMemberYou can't do this without script/plugins as you need to manipulate the HTML elements with time, I needed to do this once for a client request and by using Javascript I found this article very helpful - http://www.htmlgoodies.com/beyond/javascript/article.php/3881826

Coolest GuidesneilgeeMemberThere is a minimum height set in that part of the CSS, try and add this to your CSS file; style.css
.header-image .site-title a { min-height: 130px !important; }

Coolest GuidesneilgeeMemberBoth SEO plugins do a fine job, but Yoast SEO offers more options and is very much entrenched and progressively developed in the SEO world and is backed by a well respected industry expert. I believe StudioPress will back off on further developing their SEO offering as it is not their core offering.
So with that I would go with Yoast SEO.

Coolest GuidesneilgeeMemberActually better just to set up a category hierarchy menu so set up as aspen as a category and chalets as a category with aspen as its parent - then you don't need custom slugs and works better in structure
Neil Gee
WP Beaches
Coolest GuidesneilgeeMemberYou dont need to use a template as such.
For chalets set up as a category and use a custom slug /aspen/chalets
For chalet-name just create a post and assign the above category to it.
That will do the job, however If you are planning to use other post formats you should consider creating a custom post type set up.

Coolest GuidesneilgeeMemberOn point 2 - getting Backlinks from a high ranked site is a great thing for SEO - just don't buy links. Getting links requires you to reach out and engage your industry, provide good unique and regular content, its a slow process over time.
Neil Gee
WP Beaches
Coolest GuidesneilgeeMemberYou can wrap the whole thing in link tags :
<a href="http://my-click-destination.com"> <div class=”content-box-blue”>Enter content box here.</div></a>

Coolest GuidesneilgeeMemberHi Dan,
You can add some additional styling to your themes style.css file to reduce the space - try adding this at the end of the file and see how it looks:
.home-even, .home-odd { padding: 30px 0 100px !important; }

Coolest GuidesneilgeeMemberI normally use this javascript file - http://jamesallardice.github.io/Placeholders.js/ you just need to add it to your theme - add the file as placeholder.js in your js folder of your child theme - then in functions.php add:
//Add javascipts to theme function genesischild_scripts_styles() { wp_register_script ( 'placeholder' , get_stylesheet_directory_uri() . '/js/placeholder.js', array( 'jquery' ), '1', true ); wp_enqueue_script( 'placeholder' );//version 3.0.2 } add_action( 'wp_enqueue_scripts', 'genesischild_scripts_styles' );

Coolest GuidesneilgeeMemberYou can try adding this in your style.css file - I have added a couple of !important declarations so u should be able to override the existing CSS rules
.site-title a { background-image: url(http://www.floridanotallaboard.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/train-header_b.jpg) !important; background-size: contain !important; padding-top: 25%; background-repeat: no-repeat; min-height: 0px !important; background-color:#EC3730 !important; } .lifestyle-pro-red .site-header { background-color:#EC3730 !important; }
