Help with WP Template Hierarchy Please!

Please see this link to see what I would like to achieve.

Please pay attention to point #3 and point #4.

Which template should I use? Any cool recommendations? 🙂

You dont need to use a template as such.

For chalets set up as a category and use a custom slug /aspen/chalets

For chalet-name just create a post and assign the above category to it.

That will do the job, however If you are planning to use other post formats you should consider creating a custom post type set up.

I did not know that categories accepted a custom slug and I will give it a try 🙂

Actually better just to set up a category hierarchy menu so set up as aspen as a category and chalets as a category with aspen as its parent - then you don't need custom slugs and works better in structure

Currently,

I have a page on the website:

page-aspen.php - where I have removed the loop and added my custom HTML [resort description, weather/snow forecast/etc...]

Would it be possible to set up aspen as a category and in the category-aspen.php page remove the loop and add my custom HTML?

I hope I am not wasting too much of your time.
