I would use Gravity Forms with the MailChimp Addon for that (assuming you are using MailChimp).
I am using that feature on my new website 001020.com -> scroll to "Save Money With Your Website" and click get the ebook! Notice the option to sign up to the newsletter.

WilliamMemberHi there,
I would go about it by creating a page template similar to the front-page.php. Then you could use the page template on any page 🙂

WilliamMemberAbsolutely you can!
Go to your post or page in the WP admin. Scroll down until you see "Layout Settings". Select your desired layout and update your post or page 🙂

WilliamMemberHi Martin,
The easiest way to create a simple grid loop is to use this plugin:

Hope you find it useful !

WilliamMemberCurrently,
I have a page on the website:
page-aspen.php - where I have removed the loop and added my custom HTML [resort description, weather/snow forecast/etc...]
Would it be possible to set up aspen as a category and in the category-aspen.php page remove the loop and add my custom HTML?
I hope I am not wasting too much of your time.

WilliamMemberThank you Neil,
I did not know that categories accepted a custom slug and I will give it a try 🙂
Is this how the following website achieves its hierarchy?

Once again,
Thank you for your input!

WilliamMemberHi there Marcel,
Writing your own loop is the easy part!
I try to keep genesis child themes as "out of the box" as possible.
is there no other way to remove the itemprop="text" ?
Thank you,
Will
