    Using Altitude Pro.

I'd like several of the site's pages to mimic the homepage (which is basically "Your latest posts" i.e. presumably an archive page), with the sections, parallax, etc. How can I go about it?

    Hi there,

I would go about it by creating a page template similar to the front-page.php. Then you could use the page template on any page 🙂

Thanks, William. What changes would I need to make in front-page.php (apart from file name) if I wanted to replicate the front-page exactly? (I assume I'll probably need to rename somethings)

    Not so simple!

Genesis homepage's use widgets so (i) you have the option to register a few more widgets and add them to your new page template or (ii) you simply use the WP editor to add your content.

Needless to say, you have to be familiar with CSS to replicate the homepage styling.

I thought @agent007 mentioned registering widgets. Is that the same as registering widget areas?

Also, conceptually, does this mean that every new page I create will need to have a new template (copy of homepage) and will need me to register 4-5 widgets for each new page I create? That doesn't sound very efficient...

You add widgets to widget areas.
You have to register new widget areas.

If you don't want to register dozens of new widget areas you could try using a plugin like content aware sidebars / widget logic / or ...
to show different widgets depending on what page template is used, etc...

Alternatively, you could look into a plugin like ACF Pro (advancedcustomfields.com)
