If you have the latest version of Genesis installed, navigate to the Genesis / Genesis Plugins menu in the WordPress Admin area. This page is a list of the only plugins supported by Studio Press. There are seventeen of them, and some are just special purpose.
The only two plugins I generally use on my sites is Genesis Simple Edits and Genesis Simple Hooks.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorThe reason it's not centering is because the H1's parent element, .entry-header is not set to 100% of the area's width. The title has no place to move.
Add width: 100%; to the .entry-header class at line 1459 in style.css.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorThe Genesis Sample theme is the only theme that has been modified for the new Amp features that have been added to Genesis.
We're all community volunteers on this site and have no affiliation to Studio Press. If you want to find out if there are plans for modifying existing themes, you'll need to ask Studio Press directly by opening a support ticket with them.

Do you have the Genesis Simple Edits plugin installed?
Did you look in functions.php?

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorGenesis doesn't have an option to use the Secondary sidebar instead of the Primary sidebar, but the 3rd-party Genesis Layout Extras plugin does.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorThe conditionals are WordPress conditionals. They work regardless of the theme or Genesis Framework.
To use conditionals with the widgetized front page, it's still
if ( is_front_page() || is_home() ) { /* put your code here */ }
The code goes in functions.php.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorThis is the code I use on my sites for back to top.
add_shortcode('footer_custombacktotop', 'set_footer_custombacktotop'); function set_footer_custombacktotop($atts) { return '<a title="Return to top of page" class="button gototop" href="#" aria-label="Return to top of page"><i class="far fa-arrow-alt-circle-up"><span class="screen-reader-text">Return to top of page</span></i></a>'; } //* Add smooth scrolling for any link having the class of "top" add_action('wp_footer', 'go_to_top'); function go_to_top() { ?> <script type="text/javascript"> jQuery(function($) { $('a.button.gototop').click(function() { $('html, body').animate({scrollTop:0}, 'slow'); return false; }); }); </script> <?php }
This code can be added to functions.php. The shortcode is [footer_custombacktotop]. I also use a Fontawesome Up Arrow icon in place of text to indicate back to top. If you don't use Fontawesome, you'll need to change this code to something else that works for your site:
<i class="far fa-arrow-alt-circle-up"><span class="screen-reader-text">Return to top of page</span></i>

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorNo, it won't because .page-id-134 is a class of the body tag, not the img tag. Remember, the first C in CSS stands for cascading. Think of cascading like a waterfall. The body tag is located at the top of the page. All the other visual elements come after it. You have to use elements and classes in the order they cascade down the page.
To qualify the img tag for a specific page, you have to use .page-id-134 img. Why? .page-id-134 is part of the body tag and the img tag is subordinate to the body tag. You have to include the space between the qualifying class (.page-id-134) and img tag because .page-id-134 is not directly associated with the img tag.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorLook in functions.php for this code:
add_filter( 'genesis_seo_title', 'genesis_sample_header_title', 10, 3 ); /** * Removes the link from the hidden site title if a custom logo is in use. * * Without this filter, the site title is hidden with CSS when a custom logo * is in use, but the link it contains is still accessible by keyboard. * * @since 1.2.0 * * @param string $title The full title. * @param string $inside The content inside the title element. * @param string $wrap The wrapping element name, such as h1. * @return string The site title with anchor removed if a custom logo is active. */ function genesis_sample_header_title( $title, $inside, $wrap ) { if ( has_custom_logo() ) { $inside = get_bloginfo( 'name' ); } return sprintf( '<%1$s class="site-title">%2$s</%1$s>', $wrap, $inside ); }
You're using a custom logo so you have to add you're own h1 tag on the home page. Modify the code to read:
add_filter( 'genesis_seo_title', 'genesis_sample_header_title', 10, 3 ); /** * Removes the link from the hidden site title if a custom logo is in use. * * Without this filter, the site title is hidden with CSS when a custom logo * is in use, but the link it contains is still accessible by keyboard. * * @since 1.2.0 * * @param string $title The full title. * @param string $inside The content inside the title element. * @param string $wrap The wrapping element name, such as h1. * @return string The site title with anchor removed if a custom logo is active. */ function genesis_sample_header_title( $title, $inside, $wrap ) { if ( has_custom_logo() ) { $inside = get_bloginfo( 'name' ); } if ( is_home() || is_front_page() ) { $wrap = "h1"; } return sprintf( '<%1$s class="site-title">%2$s</%1$s>', $wrap, $inside ); }

Have you requested your free website audit yet?August 1, 2019 at 12:39 pm in reply to: On my iPhone, links on the homepage only work when I refresh page #492723Victor FontModeratorThey are working fine for me as well. The issue you're experiencing may be related to the fact that all the links I clicked on are opening new mobile windows. That practice is generally considered an aspect of a poor user experience unless you're opening windows to a linked site.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorYou have the HTML tag and class in reverse order.
body is a HTML tag. .page-id-134 is a class assigned to the body tag. The correct order is body.page-id-134

Have you requested your free website audit yet?July 31, 2019 at 4:58 am in reply to: "Call to undefined function genesis_before_post()" errormessage #492685Victor FontModeratorYou're not calling genesis_before_entry correctly. genesis_before_entry is an action hook, it is not a function so the error you are receiving is correct.
The correct way of calling genesis_before_entry is:
do_action( 'genesis_before_entry' );
Look through genesis/lib/structure/loops.php for the correct way to call the action hooks you're calling as functions.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?July 28, 2019 at 8:49 am in reply to: Can't update theme from dashboard (PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT) #492643Victor FontModeratorIf you Google that error, there are hundreds of posts about it going back many years. It definitely seems to be JetPack related and not being logged into WordPress.com. Since this has nothing to do with the Genesis Framework, I'm going to close this thread and suggest you open a support ticket with the JetPack devs.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModerator@gtmeena54, Please don't ask unrelated questions in a thread. You're question has nothing to do with updating a child theme. If you want an answer to a problem, please start a new topic.
When you ask a question in an unrelated topic, the chances of a community volunteer seeing it and responding are very low.
