I've been getting the following error *every* time I attempt to upgrade from the dashboard for the last few months.

An error occurred while updating Genesis: The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Invalid archive structure

Yes, I can upgrade manually via SSH, but it's getting old. Anyone know how I can get the dashboard update working again?

It's attempting to download the theme from

    https://api.genesistheme.com/download/?file=XXXXXX

    That returns

    Nice Try! ;-)

There could be a variety of reasons for this error. If it was a problem with the Genesis file, it would be happening to everyone. But since you're the only one that has reported this problem so far, it's more likely an issue with your environment.

Environment issues could include server permissions, PHP version, memory allocation, and more. I suggest you open a ticket with your host and ask them to help you sort through the problem.

Appears to be related to this getting a 403 on this request:

    wss://public-api.wordpress.com/pinghub/wpcom/me/newest-note-data

I disabled JetPack, which it's been suggested isrelated, but no joy.

If you Google that error, there are hundreds of posts about it going back many years. It definitely seems to be JetPack related and not being logged into WordPress.com. Since this has nothing to do with the Genesis Framework, I'm going to close this thread and suggest you open a support ticket with the JetPack devs.
