You can ignore the warnings. PHP will never use a function starting with __genesis. All of the sites I support are running on PHP 7. There are no issues whatsoever.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?March 1, 2017 at 8:34 am in reply to: Blog page title area not the same as other web page title areas #202247Victor FontModeratorGenesis has many, many child themes and each one of them can be different. When I asked what child theme are you using, I was asking you to be specific. Also, blog pages are not typically home pages. They are standard pages with a page template assigned. So let me ask again, which child theme are you using? Be specific.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorI've customized more Genesis/WooCommerce site than I can remember. Wellness Pro is one of the Studio Press themes that just got overhauled to build in some WooCommerce support. There is now a wellness-woocommerce.css file in the /lib/woocommerce directory that you can use to adjust CSS. The key to adjusting WooCommerce styles is to make sure the theme style sheets load after the WooCommerce style sheets otherwise the process will frustrate you. https://victorfont.com/change-genesis-child-theme-style-sheet-load-order/

Have you requested your free website audit yet?March 1, 2017 at 4:04 am in reply to: Feedback please: cupexperience.com America's Cup Regatta (and CSS help needed!) #202233Victor FontModeratorOverall, I don't think you did a bad job. Site is bright and colorful. Maybe a little too bright for eyes that just got and of bed and haven't experienced their first cup of coffee yet. The text on the America's cup calendar is too small to be useful. I think a real calendar would be better rather than an image. That image will be unreadable on mobile devices. The video briefing room is very slow to load. It will frustrate users to wait or have the page pause as they try to scroll down.
Firebug is no longer in development. Every browser these days has code inpection tools. It would help if you learned the tools for your favorite browser. https://victorfont.com/how-to-use-your-browsers-inspect-tool/

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorYou are indeed correct. It appears the portfolio has been removed from the distribution. It still shows on the demo though. Maybe you should ask Studio Press directly. https://my.studiopress.com/help

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorBrad wasn't suggesting that you hack search.php. He was suggesting that you use the pre_get_posts filter to execute a function that passes the orderby to wp_query. You could also use the posts_orderby filter.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorThe only place Genesis inserts http://schema.org/WebPage is in the body tag and it does not use the <meta> tag to do so. Also, the term mainEntityOfPage does not appear anywhere in the Genesis Framework source code. You're looking in the wrong place. If it's not Beaver Builder, then it's either coming from a different plugin or custom code that someone wrote. You can see exactly what Genesis does in genesis/lib/functions/markup.php.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorThe image is not floating to the bottom. You are using an image that is larger than the page content. The image's height is causing the anomaly.
If you want to see the background image pop through the content, you have to change the background color for the content areas to transparent instead of white.

As an FYI, I just posted a test comment without receiving any errors. Try clearing all caches and if you are using a CDN, clear that cache as well.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?February 28, 2017 at 1:23 pm in reply to: Colored content boxes and buttons code not working #202200Victor FontModeratorYou've got broken HTML. This is what I see when I view your source code:
<div><a class="button-red"></p> <p style="text-align: center;"><strong>Access the BHA’s magazine online</strong></p> <p></a></div>
It should be:
<div><a class="button-red">Access the BHA’s magazine online</a></div>

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorIf you changed the URLs on the General Settings page and redirected site requests to https in htaccess, the only other thing to try is https://www.whynopadlock.com/.
The http links are probably in content in wp_posts, wp_post_Meta or even wp_options. Use a plugin like Better Search and Replace to change the links. You won't be able to change serialized arrays in MySQLAdmin. Better Search and Replace will handle serialized content for you without breaking the site.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorIt looks like your code is structured correctly. It could be a timing issue. I would try adding a priority lower than the default of 10. Or, it could be that you might have to wrap the short code output in some structure.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorFirst, there's no reason to use the Genesis Portfolio Plugin with Executive Pro. The theme is delivered with built in portfolio functionality.
If you were using the built-in functionality instead of the plugin, you could edit the single-portfolio.php template. At line 11, you'll see that the full width layout is forced:
add_filter( 'genesis_pre_get_option_site_layout', '__genesis_return_full_width_content' );
If you remove this line, it should pick the Genesis default layout. If this doesn't work, then edit the above line to choose a different layout: http://my.studiopress.com/documentation/snippets/admin-management/force-the-genesis-layout-settings/
As for the permalinks, you may just have to resave them. The permalinks work as expected on my site: https://victorfont.com/portfolio/southforsytherealestate/

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorYou should not be using the basic Genesis Framework without a child theme. You'll create all kinds of problems for yourself down the road.
Unfortunately, the date and time display are hard coded into the comments display and there is no filter to allow you alter the content. You're only choice is to create your function to replace the one Genesis uses. This was discussed in this thread: https://www.studiopress.community/topic/how-to-change-comment-date-to-over-a-year-ago/

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorWhy wouldn't you just make it translatable text:
return '<a href="' . get_permalink() . '" rel="nofollow">' . esc_html__( 'text', 'executive' ) . '</a>';

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorIt sounds like your previous home page was a static home page. Infinity Pro uses a widgetized home page, which means you cannot use the page editor with it. You can either copy your content into widgets or set the old home page as the static home page on the WordPress Settings/Reading page. Static home pages supersede widgetized home pages.
