Hi everyone,
I have a question about using Executive Pro with the 'Genesis Portfolio Plugin'.
The breadcrumb hierarchy is different for the portfolio and I'm trying to use the same hierarchy as used in blog and the rest of the site.
--
Example Portfolio: Home › Portfolio Items › Portfolio Item 1
Example Portfolio: Home › Category 1 › Post 1
--As you can see in the example, the Portfolio breadcrumb does not show the category
(or type), but the whole portfolio archive. It should be:Example Portfolio: Home › Portfolio Type 1 › Portfolio Item 1
This is driving me mad, but I can't figure it out =)
Another problem is that I can not enable a sidebar for the single post page in the portfolio. Portfolio items don't have an option for page layout, is there a way to get around this issue?
Kind regards,
Dave
add_action( 'genesis_before_loop', 'genesis_do_breadcrumbs' ); add_filter( 'genesis_breadcrumb_args', 'wpsites_customize_breadcrumbs_genesis' ); function wpsites_customize_breadcrumbs_genesis( $args ) { $args['home'] = 'Home'; $args['sep'] = ' › '; $args['list_sep'] = ', '; $args['prefix'] = '<div class="breadcrumb">'; $args['suffix'] = '</div>'; $args['heirarchial_attachments'] = true; $args['heirarchial_categories'] = true; $args['display'] = true; $args['labels']['prefix'] = ''; $args['labels']['author'] = ''; $args['labels']['category'] = ''; $args['labels']['tag'] = ''; $args['labels']['date'] = ''; $args['labels']['search'] = ''; $args['labels']['tax'] = ''; $args['labels']['post_type'] = ''; $args['labels']['404'] = ''; return $args; }

If you were using the built-in functionality instead of the plugin, you could edit the single-portfolio.php template. At line 11, you'll see that the full width layout is forced:
add_filter( 'genesis_pre_get_option_site_layout', '__genesis_return_full_width_content' );
If you remove this line, it should pick the Genesis default layout. If this doesn't work, then edit the above line to choose a different layout: http://my.studiopress.com/documentation/snippets/admin-management/force-the-genesis-layout-settings/
As for the permalinks, you may just have to resave them. The permalinks work as expected on my site: https://victorfont.com/portfolio/southforsytherealestate/

single-portfolio.php is not in my package. If I remove the plugin, there is no portfolio functionality in the theme as far as I can see.
