You have no captcha plugin to challenge the person submitting the comment via your CONTACT Us form (I went to your site) so of course you are "still" getting TONS of Spam mail.

As Victor Font suggested, you may have great success with AntiSpam Bee who doesn't use a captcha scheme. I prefer to use reCaptcha on my forms. I haven't received any Spam in over three years since installing it coupled with Wordfence (which is free but I use the paid version for complete protection).

In addition, I have also turned on the Spam blocker that comes with my hosting account in my cPanel so I do see Spam email in my Spam folder and they are indeed "SPAM".

So go ahead and install a Spam blocker plugin and then put your Newsletter widget back on your site. If you decide to use a reCaptcha then you must install the [shortcode] on BOTH - your CONTACT US form AND newsletter widget (It's easy and just one line of code between the [brackets].

    I wish you well.

    WOW Tia, that's unfortunate.

The fact that it happens often might suggest an attack on your wordpress site.

A long, long, long time ago I got locked out of one of my sites and had no other Admin users assigned to it where I would still have access to the site.

I had to ultimately go into myPHP in my control panel and change the password that way to regain access. You would have to Google the process.

If you happen to have a backup of the last time you successfully accessed the backend of your site, a restore might be something to consider then a sweep of your site with a plugin called Wordfence and doing a regular backup with a plugin called UpDraft.

Both plugins are free but the Pro versions cost about $100 annually. I would certainly purchase the Pro version of WordFence but you can successfully backup your WordPress files and restore them with the free version of UpDraft as the Pro version does some things for you automatically and allow you to save the files in the cloud on Dropbox, Google Drive or wherever you tell it to.

    I wish you well.

    Hey RavenManiac,

I'm a lifetime license holder of StudioPress Suite/Pro or whatever the lifetime package is call and have been for about six years.

I also subscribe to ThriveThemes Full Suite which has about ten themes and over 100 landing pages plus other fantastic features.

In my opinion ThriveThemes outshine StudioPress overall; however, I still use Studiopress for certain websites and as a matter of fact, I am thinking about using the AcademyPro theme for the online golf courses I am working on.

Now, one glaring reason the other Website Theme companies may be better than StudioPress is because StudioPress charges a "ONE-Time Fee" and the others like ThriveTheme charges a monthly/annual fee which is $228 if you pay annually and more if you pay monthly.

With a reoccurring subscription base, a company have (pretty much) guaranteed money to do more things with (such as hiring great coders & adding more features etc...)

FTR, I have just purchase ThriveTheme this year because StudioPress does not seem to offer landing pages which is a huge oversight on their part and may ultimately cost them some serious sales.

I am at a loss as to why they don't charge their initial fee then charge a modest $19 to $30 yearly renewal fee.

If all you are trying to do is change the footer information, I used a Genesis plugin called "Genesis Simple Edits". You can just search for it under your WordPress backend.

Yes I have now that you've mentioned it.

I thought that it might be my browser or a plugin that I happened to installed at the time of the WP upgrade.

It takes about 2-5 seconds to reach the backend dashboard on my workstations but once I'm in it's not too bad depending on what I am trying to access.

I notice that one day, it took about 2 seconds to bring up my "Pages" area when before it was instantaneous.

I will live with it and only commented because you brought it up, (Smiles)

    Glad to help.

If you are using PayPal as your only money/cart gateway then "BE SURE" to make it clear that your customers do not need a PayPal account to buy and to just use the option at the bottom of the page.

I can't remember the language I used as it was short, to the point and a long time ago (most people don't do a lot of reading and you don't want to miss sells because of it as I did).

I now use ThriveCart to handle my transaction as my site generates a nice income now and I can afford the services of a cart which will handle credit cards, PayPal, Stripe and more.

    Hi Benzlady,

I quickly created a PayPal button that goes nowhere and it worked.

However, it did provide a box for the PayPal member to login in which to use their account. It also had a spot at the bottom for those who do not have a PPal account or prefer to pay with a credit card.

I could not upload an image to show you so perhaps it will display from my site here:

Thank you very, very much Victor for taking the time to address my issue!

As it turns out, I must have some text either in the title of the Hero Button or in the paragraph. I rather have the text on the button only but I can live with it or design around it.

I'm back in business and again I thank you!!!!

    Thanks again Brad 🙂

I tried that and variations of it but it just ignored the code.

Thank you very much Brad Dalton for your prompt response. Although I am confident your suggestions would work, my brain does not work on that level (haha) as I have no measurable amount of knowledge with PHP.

FTR, I was able to resolve this problem to a 90% satisfaction level. I read a thread from another forum that suggest I use an "echo" tag and place my html code between the tags. This was an acceptable solution although it was a bit tacky for me.

I am grateful for the results but if I was able, I would have place my image a little higher on my page but again this worked to my liking.

The reason I said it was a bit tacky was because I had to use the html code for a space (and many of them) to center the image as it was left justified and the "align" html code was ignored.

Here is a page that do not exist so that you can see the results and I thank you again.

    WAHOOOOOOOOO! Thank you Victor!

That did it (whew!) I have been searching and tweaking and undoing for days. I saw that line earlier and for some reason I thought it was referring to the background.

    I Thank you again 🙂

If you see some of the post are indeed black, I went into them manually and changed the font via a plugin but obviously I can't do that for every post or comment submitted.

    Thanks again

    Hi guys,

I am using the Enterprise Pro theme.

I modified the 404.php page wording which was easy because I simply added a couple of words.

I love the look of the default 404 page but have no PHP skillls to change it to my liking.

All I want to do is a add a small image to the page from my WP library.

I was hoping it was as simple as adding html code but the html code was ignored.

Is this an easy modification for me or do I need PHP skills to make this change?
