Depending on how much text you're thinking of when you say "details"...it should be pretty easy to Google something like "WordPress photo galllery plugin" and find an excellent selection of free and paid gallery plugins...and then check them out and pick out the one you think looks best for what you're doing. With all the gallery plugins out there it would be hard for anyone to make an intelligent recommendation of just one gallery plugin without knowing exactly what you want to achieve, so best you search for yourself.
Also...don't forget that WordPress has a built-in Gallery feature"
In Edit mode, get on the page or post where you want the gallery...click in the place in your text where you want the gallery to appear...click "Add Media"...then in the "Insert Media" dialog box, look for the "Create Gallery" link (upper left of the dialog box), and go from there.

MoodyRivieraMemberI haven't used that theme, but I just checked my copy of that theme and I don't see any files by that name. If those files were left out inadvertently by StudioPress do you think StudioPress will send out a new version of the theme? I'm just wondering how everyone else who hasn't experienced this problem (yet) will get copies of those files if it turns out they are supposed to be in the theme.

MoodyRivieraMemberAnnamarie,
There may not have been any reviews at the time sstiavetti wrote her posts, but I just clicked the link to the converter, and I see that there are several comments that might help someone decide if the converter will work or not.*MoodyRiviera*
MoodyRivieraMemberKahuna,
Thanks for letting me know...I'm happy that works for you.*MoodyRiviera*
MoodyRivieraMemberOK...by the way...that's a nice-looking theme you're planning to use.

MoodyRivieraMemberTo see if I could help, I did a quick set up of the Agency Pro theme on one of my test sites, and I am able to get the effect that I *think* you are looking for.
If you go to the site you'll see six photos in the grid. You will also see that they all have overlaid text from a *post*. And if you click on any of the photos #6 through #2 you will be taken to a *post* that has that same text.
I assume that's what you do *not* want.
But if you click the photo at the lower righthand corner of the grid #1 (which I have set up a different way) you will see that it takes you to a *page* rather than a post where there is text that is *different* from the post text overlaying the photo.
I assume this is what you *do* want.
If I'm wrong about this, read no further.
But if I'm right...if this is the effect you want, then go back and read the entire page in the theme setup instructions (which I referred you to earlier), where they describe how to use the "Page Links To" plugin, which will produce the effect I have on my test page. Rather than taking you to the *post* when you click over the photo it will take you to a *page* where you can have totally different text, etc.
Worked for me...I hope it will work for you.
(Please excuse if I'm still missing your point.)

MoodyRivieraMemberI see what you mean...OK...I'm not any kind of expert on these things, and haven't used the Agency Pro theme, but I looked at the setup instructions for that theme, and it looks like you can control what text appears over the photos by using certain categories.
Not sure this will help, but in case you haven't read the setup instructions, check this out and see if it makes a difference...it seems to explain it fairly well:

MoodyRivieraMemberI'm sure someone will come along with a great answer for you, but (as a non-expert) if I were in this position, I would probably start by going into the Widgets section of the Dashboard, and (after consulting the theme setup instructions) try rebuilding the home page by deleting what's currently in the widgets and starting over with new content in the widgets...assuming the Outreach theme is based on widgets as is the case with many StudioPress themes.
Not sure this will help, but maybe you can try it while waiting for a better answer.
P.S. I really like your idea of showing your Dashboard stuff in a video the way you did.
*MoodyRiviera*
MoodyRivieraMember@Susan...thanks for the explanation...and I'm sure you're right about all that...as I've stated, I'm no expert at this stuff...just trying to help as much as I can from my limited perspective.
Seems to me that it would be very helpful if StudioPress had someone who was not a total expert, but knew how to write technical instructions...someone to write their theme setup instructions...not only to make things more understandable for people who are not experts, but also to include some of these things like what you just explained...how to actually do some of these things and how to fix some of the problems people keep running into over and over and over.
Every time I look at these forums I see the same questions over and over about headers and footers.
*MoodyRiviera*
MoodyRivieraMemberFor those who know how...maybe...yes. 🙂
But obviously not everyone knows how...including the person who started this thread...and it would have been simpler than this back-and-forth in this string, digging into the functions.php file, etc.

MoodyRivieraMemberIs there some reason not to use the Genesis Simple Edits plugin for this?

MoodyRivieraMemberWhen theme instructions suggest an image size, it's usually best to use images of exactly that size. Not following those instructions will often cause problems.
When you buy stock photos, as you've found out, they come in all kinds of different sizes...so what you have to do is crop the images to the dimensions suggested in your theme's instructions.
While it's possible to crop directly inside WordPress and with various plugins, the best way (and most sure way) is to crop the images with an image-editing program...such as Adobe Photoshop CC.
Crop, save, and then upload to your site.
*MoodyRiviera*
MoodyRivieraMemberWow...that's cool.
MoodyRivieraMemberUse this plugin:
Genesis Simple EditsMoodyRivieraMemberI looked at that area of your page with Google Chrome "Inspect Element" and I was able to change that "orange" text to black by changing:
color: #131210;
to some other color of your choice.#footer a, #footer a:visited {
color: #131210;
text-decoration: none;
}MoodyRivieraMemberUnfortunately I just created that in Photoshop...it's just an image...and I'm not any kind of coder who can figure out how to do that...but I hope the image will help the experts here see where you're trying to get to.
Because of the relative inflexibility of some WordPress elements, I'm going to guess this is going to be very difficult if not impossible to do...maybe you will be better off just thinking of a different place to show those things.
I'm going to keep watching this thread, because I'll be interested to see if someone shows a way to do it. Good luck to you.
*MoodyRiver*
MoodyRivieraMemberJust to clarify what you're looking for...is this (see graphic) sort of like what you're trying to get?
MoodyRivieraMemberOK...I'm no expert at this...but...
...I see your screenshot, and...as you say....I don't see the Centric-Pro folder.
But...your code shows that the folder *is* there, along with the stylesheet.
I wonder if it's possible that you somehow are looking in the wrong place...maybe you're looking at the directories of some other domain you own...I know that can get confusing sometimes.
If you look at two screenshots I made...in one screenshot you'll see the code in your site that points to the directory:
(wp-content/themes/centric-pro)And in the second screenshot you'll see the URL for where I've actually viewed the CSS file:
(blog.baystateconsulting.com/wp-content/themes/centric-pro/style.css)Here's the URL to see my screenshots:

May 10, 2015 at 12:09 pm in reply to: Altitude Pro – Background Images are not loading correctly #151544MoodyRivieraMemberIn your posts here you mentioned something about the size of your background images, but because of the way you said it I think you're confusing file size with pixel dimensions...and it's possible this might be causing your problem.
According to the Altitude Pro setup instructions, the default size for background images is 1600 x 1050 pixels...without regard to file size (kb).
I've measured your background images, and they are all different sizes...some larger and some smaller than the default image size specified in the setup instructions.
The instructions say that if your background images don't conform to this size, your images may not look right.
I think it's possible that not only the images might not look right, but also may not load at all...or will load in an erratic fashion if not sized to the default recommendation.
Why don't you create all new background images sized to exactly 1600 x 1050 pixels, and see if that helps?
*MoodyRiver*
MoodyRivieraMemberkmagno,
You definitely do have a Centric-Pro folder...and it *is* in the Themes folder. I looked at the code on your site and I see the link to the stylesheet, and the stylesheet is right there where we would expect it to be.
Are you sure you're looking in the right place?
It will be in the wp-content folder:
wp-content/themes/centric-pro
