Yes. The New Magazine Pro theme is due out soon which may display differently on mobile devices.

    Hi Brad,

Any idea as to when the Magazine Pro theme will be out?
It really looks good. Can't wait...

Very soon. It looks like it was nearly finished at the time that screenshot was taken so i would say within days but i cannot confirm that.

    Thanks for the update.
The screenshot sure looks as if it doesn't need a lot of work anymore.
But then again, that's just the outside...

Wow. After spending so much time with another theme, I realize that this is the one I need. On the bright side, now that I've gotten myself so familiar with Genesis and have customized many of the things I need, I'll be busy with working on this one. Can't wait, looks great, long overdue! 🙂

I have a site using the Magazine theme....so I took at look at the "sneak peak" Brad linked us to, and I think I like the look of the old theme a lot better than the Pro version.

If I decide to *not* upgrade to the "Pro" version, am I running a greater risk that some day my older Magazine theme will become incompatible with newer versions of Genesis and then won't run anymore?

I will appreciate any and all opinions..thanks.

There are pros and cons to each one. For the most part, I'm not a huge fan of the uber minimalism in many of the templates and moreso the HUGE spaces. That works great in physical rooms but not on monitors where you have to scroll, scroll, scroll...

I happen to think the old one looks more like a Magazine with many articles, etc. although it might appear a little dated in places. The new one works for me only because, stylistically, it's what I want to accomplish. with certain parts of the theme. Don't change it just because it's "newer" and might have some features you may never use. I think the OP did a really nice job customizing his magazine theme so it really works for his site and audience.
