Hi Mr Vercetti. What do you mean by 'it doesn't work' – what is the output you get and how is it different from what you want?
Although I know this is doable, I suspect that it might require a lot of coding and a lot of time, more than what I'd be prepared to give away for free.
CarloMemberHi germandude. Personally, I don't think the the way you had the icons positioned looks very good and I think they look out of place anyway. But if that's the way you want them, you can find the below code in your theme stylesheet:
.site-header .widget-area { color: #fff; float: right; width: 600px; }
and replace it with this:
.site-header .widget-area { color: #fff; position: absolute; top: 0; left: 0; width: 100%; }
Let me know if that's what you want.
CarloMemberHi Teresa. I looked at the page and can't see any unparsed shortcode.
CarloMemberHow I put navigation bar header –> left side?
My child theme is Sample Genesis.There have Header Right widget area. Go to Appearance->Widgets page and drag&drop the Custom Menu widget in Header Right box. Now choose the correct menu from drop down list and save the widget settings. Hope that it will help you.
The asker asked for left, not right?
CarloMemberCarloMemberHi Susanta. It looks OK to me. Did you solve it yourself?
CarloMemberHi Phil. It looks like you solved this yourself?
CarloMemberHi germandude. You've removed the icons altogether now. I looked at your screenshots but I'll need to see the site itself with the icons published to be able to solve this.
CarloMemberHi KM. Create a new file in your theme, call it whatever you want (with php extension), and give it the following contents (inserting whatever you want to call the template on line 2):
<?php //* Template Name: Insert Your Custom Template Name Here remove_all_actions( 'genesis_entry_header' ); genesis();
Let me know where that gets you.
CarloMemberHi Mr Vercetti. You could try duplicating the template front-page.php to a new file. Call the new file whatever you want, and at the top of the file, directly below the line
<?php
, add the following line, inserting whatever you want to call the template://* Template Name: Insert Your Custom Template Name Here
Let me know if that works.
CarloMemberHi spydoo. I wouldn't pay attention to the validator if I were you. Whether or not your code validates really has no impact on anything.
CarloMemberHi sweatandfuel. I think what Tim's saying is that you want to find this line of code in your theme functions:
add_theme_support( 'genesis-footer-widgets', 3 );
and replace it with this:
add_theme_support( 'genesis-footer-widgets', 1 );
Then, you'll also want to add this code to the bottom of your theme stylesheet:
.footer-widgets-1 { width: 100%; }
CarloMemberHi spydoo. I think what you should be able to do is simply add some code to your theme functions. Let me know if the below code works:
add_action( 'genesis_entry_footer', function() { if ( is_singular() && function_exists('wp_print') ) print_link(); } );
CarloMemberHi Susanta. Find this code in your theme stylesheet:
.content, .sidebar, .site-header .widget-area, .title-area { width: 100%; }
Replace it with this:
.content, .sidebar { width: 100%; } .site-header .widget-area, .title-area { width: auto; }
January 31, 2015 at 6:27 am in reply to: Comment section appears on top of custom page – how do I move it? #139141CarloMemberHi Stylos. Try using this code:
<?php /* Template Name: a-recipe-template */ remove_action('genesis_loop', 'genesis_do_loop'); add_action('genesis_loop', 'gt_custom_loop'); function gt_custom_loop() { ?> <p>JUST SOME TEXT TO SHOW UP – DEMO TO SHOW THE "RIGHT" POSITIONING OF THE COMMENT SECTION FOR THIS CUSTOM PAGE TEMPLATE</p> <?php } genesis(); // <- everything important: make sure to include this. ?>
CarloMemberHi Tim. Replace this line:
add_action( 'genesis_before_footer', 'bg_before_footer_widget_area' );
with this:
add_action( 'genesis_before_footer', 'bg_before_footer_widget_area', 5 );
Let me know if that works.
CarloMemberHi Ray. Find this code in your theme stylesheet:
.header-image .site-title > a { background-size: contain !important; display: block; height: 164px; margin: 0 auto; width: 360px; text-indent: -9999px; }
Replace it with this:
.header-image .site-title > a { background-size: contain !important; display: block; height: 164px; margin: 0 auto; max-width: 360px; text-indent: -9999px; }
CarloMemberHi gstarr. I could create a plugin that does that for you, for a fee, if you're interested.
CarloMemberHi Kathie. This is a very unusual issue and one that I think will be next to impossible to solve without being able to see the back end of your site. Would you be open to paying a developer to look at your site?
CarloMemberHi Lesley. Add the below code to your theme stylesheet, before the media queries section:
.welcome-message .widget { float: left; width: 50%; padding: 0 40px; } .welcome-message .wrap { width: 1200px; }
