AnitaKeymasterHi, what is the URL to your website?

AnitaKeymasterI am sorry it's taken so long for someone to respond. Do you still need assistance with this?

AnitaKeymasterWhere it says to add the script to the header = go to Genesis > Theme Settings. Scroll all the way to the bottom. You'll see two boxes - one for header and one for footer. Paste it in the header box and save.

AnitaKeymasterYou can use the Header function for this. Go to Appearance > Editor. Select Functions and look for this:
// Add support for custom header add_theme_support( 'genesis-custom-header', array( 'flex-height' => true, 'height' => 87, 'width' => 1080 ) );
Change the height and width to the size of your logo. This will give the header function the correct size and you will not need to crop anything.
Then go to Appearance > Header.
Upload your header.That's it.
To activate the top menu - that is the Secondary Menu. Go to Genesis > Theme Settings. Make sure you have activated the Secondary Menu.
Then head over to Appearance > Menus. Create a menu for the top nav and allocate that to the Secondary Nav on the left of that screen. Be sure to save everything.
For the transparency... I have to look that one up and get back to you.

AnitaKeymasterBrian Gardner has a this - http://www.briangardner.com/code/add-after-post-widget/ for adding an After Post Widget that you can use.

AnitaKeymasterAlso note, that the old theme had two other narrower sidebars. Version 2.0 of Lifestyle does not have those sidebars. You will have to add new widget areas to get those.

AnitaKeymasterThe content will remain, but the customizations to the Style.css may be lost. Look in your themes folder - do you have the Genesis Framework inside that folder?

AnitaKeymasterI see. You have the really old version. If you want one single column, you will need to drag a Featured Posts widget into the same widget area as the Slider, drag it underneath the slider and then configure it the way you want it. You will have to drag two of these and configure each one for a particular category.

AnitaKeymasterThere are a lot of ways to backup the site. I don't have enough information about your site to guide you really. Genesis 1.9.2 is the Framework - it is not the updated version of the Lifestyle theme. You would have to go to your download area and match up which theme version you have. Go here - my.studiopress.com. Look for Lifestyle and match the version found there to the version listed in your Style.css file. At that point - I can make suggestions.

AnitaKeymasterWhere exactly are you trying to place your Buddypress on the home page. I am working with Buddypress right now and have a two demo sites up.

AnitaKeymasterThis reply has been marked as private.AnitaKeymasterFollow Brian Gardner's instructions here - http://www.briangardner.com/welcome-text-widget/. You can use the Visual Hook Guide (http://genesistutorials.com/visual-hook-guide/) to target where you want to place it if you don't want it at the top.

AnitaKeymasterHere are the instructions for setting up your site like the demo - http://my.studiopress.com/setup/lifestyle-theme/.

AnitaKeymasterThe home page does not use the Primary Sidebar. The internal pages uses the sidebar and it doesn't look like you have anything dragged over into that area.
