Okay so let me ask you this - I sent in a support ticket asking how to take the Title of my Post and overlay it over the Featured Image. I have a client who will only use Studiopress if I can get that to work. Is that a "technical support" question or is that a Community Question?

AnitaKeymasterIt would be nice if when we hit the submit button that it sends an email to us so we can have a record that we sent something in. I would see where Zendesk would probably be more appropriate than a contact box.

AnitaKeymasterThere are tons of WordPress Plugins for this. I would look at the WordPress Plugin Repository for it. I've found that you have to play around with a few to actually get what you want to appear. And, in recent searches I've read that Facebook's system also has a role in determining which picture is shown.

AnitaKeymasterInicole, review this. I think this is what you are looking for - http://webonanza.com/how-to-add-featured-images-to-blog-posts-in-the-genesis-framework-wordpress/.

AnitaKeymasterNo, never modified the Framework itself. When you say you want the site to be the default layout - I am assuming - just as a regular website - no responsive elements. So if the Default if non-responsive - how will the end user select a way for it to be responsive. Your title is Customize it or Remove it.

AnitaKeymasterIt's kinda like a double edge sword. You really just have to play it by ear - trial and error on both methods. I handle a church association website and they've never been spammed in their email by showing their email addresses. Not to say that one day they couldn't. But I've found that more hackers are interested in Contact Forms making them more susceptible to spamming or hacking attempts.

AnitaKeymasterLook at the very bottom of your CSS - you should see the Mobile CSS settings. You can remove that completely.

AnitaKeymasterI am using Firebug and I don't see anything in the Footer areas. Please drag some text and add titles to those areas so I can look again.

AnitaKeymasterThis is where I am confused also. I added three discussions that have not been responded to. It would be nice if someone responded that I either had to submit a support request or at least provide some sort of answer. I have three discussions - two are 1 week, 1 day old and the third is 6 days, 13 hours old. I wanted to just delete them rather than they sit there unanswered - unanswered doesn't look good at all.

AnitaKeymasterIt's in your style.css settings. You can use Firebug for Firefox to find the exact place where you need to make the edit.

AnitaKeymasterYou can go to your Genesis settings and look for a box called Header Code and stick it in there. Be sure to save it. I thought the Hellobar had it's own WordPress Plugin, but I could be wrong.

AnitaKeymasterThe functionality is there. Go to your Genesis Settings --> then to Navigation Settings. You should see a line that says "Enable Extras on Right Side". Check that box and a drop down will appear. Click that and select SEARCH FORM. This will add the Search to the Navigation.

AnitaKeymasterSure, glad I could help.

AnitaKeymasterYou can use the Genesis Nav Menu Amplified plugin which will let you place the Search bar in there - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/genesis-nav-menu-amplified/.

AnitaKeymasterOh wow, you did that so fast! Does it make it on each one or do you do it manually each time?

AnitaKeymasterWilliam, I just found this and going to give it a try. Let me know if it works for you - http://wpmu.org/offer-embed-codes-for-your-photos-with-the-embed-code-generator-plugin/

AnitaKeymasterI have been looking for that too. The workaround I found was to add the Pinterest button. If they Pin it, they can take the Embed code from there and place it on their site. A visitor click it will be routed to the image on your site.

November 23, 2012 at 7:45 pm in reply to: Need Trade Show Booth Registration / Purchase Form / Taking money #1444AnitaKeymasterHave you heard of Eventbrite.com? You could set this up with Eventbrite - for registration and ticket sales, accept PayPal, Google Checkout, Checks or Pay at the Door options. They have bar codes and free readers. I've used it a lot. They charge a small fee, but it's smaller than most credit card companies. They have EMBED codes to embed the ticketing system right onto your website.

AnitaKeymasterOh, okay. Sorry. Still trying to figure this out.

AnitaKeymasterOh, none of the themes came with the ability to change the background color by way of a selector tool. At least I ever saw any with that ability. I've always had to hard code it in the CSS myself.
