You should use an FTP Client like FileZilla. This is a much safer method than editing these files directly through WordPress.

JeremyMemberPlay around with some of these changes in sytle.css until you get it the way you want.
Around line 926 change the font-size below perhaps 14 or 15px...
.genesis-nav-menu {
clear: both;
color: #fff;
font-family: Montserrat, sans-serif;
font-size: 16px;
}Around line 946 change the padding...
.genesis-nav-menu a {
color: #fff;
display: block;
font-family: Montserrat, sans-serif;
padding: 27px 15px; (the 2nd one is combined padding left and right)
}Around line 855 you could reduce the title-area width e.g. to 300px...
.title-area {
float: left;
padding: 20px 0;
width: 360px;
}and then increase the right header widget width e.g. to 800px
.site-header .widget-area {
float: right;
text-align: right;
width: 740px;
}That should get you started 🙂

JeremyMemberI'm also seeing green. May need to clear your cache.
The extension " Clear Cache Shortcut" in Google Chrome is handy to have installed.

JeremyMemberHi SierraDelta,
On line 1197 you need to add a background-color to the .sidebar
Try this...
.sidebar {
color: #555;
background-color: #555;
display: inline;
padding-top: 60px;
padding: 30px;
}Obviously you need to play around with the padding further or the width when on a desktop.
Hope that helps.

JeremyMemberYou just need to add the following code toward the bottom of style.css telling the browser how to treat your newly added sections when reduced below 767px...
.home-left,
.home-right {
width: 100%;
}Try adding it into this section...
@media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {.site-container {
max-width: 600px;
}.home-left,
.home-right {
width: 100%;
}}

JeremyMemberThis is where it's located in style.css. I'll let you play with the color variations.
In style.css change line 325 to ...
background-color: #ed702b;Then on line 1456 adjust the hover color e.g. try...
background-color: #666;Hope that gets you on the right track.

JeremyMemberJeremyMemberThe letter-spacing on line 1014 of style.css is causing the menu alignment issue.
Try removing it or making it a smaller number. See below....genesis-nav-menu a {
letter-spacing: 0.4rem;
}You could replace the background image when it gets below a certain responsive break point.
E.g. Toward the bottom of style.css add...
@media only screen and (max-width: 568px) {
.custom-background .site-header-banner {
background: url(Insert the url of a smaller uploaded logo here) #000000 no-repeat center scroll;
}
}
