    Hey all,

    So I've just gotten my blog up at page.ly and I'm working to try and shape it into the site I want it to be, and I've hit a roadblock.

    The widget in the primary side bar on the right hand side is nigh on unusable/unreadable, due to the background. I want to change the opacity of the box and the colour of the text, but I dont know how to. Or more to the point, I couldnt work out what to change in the CSS

    The site is: http://reduktor.net

    Would someone be able to point me in the right direction? I'd like to tweak it so that I can actually use the items on the right hand side. I'm an infrastructure guy, so modifying CSS/HTML isnt exactly my strong suit, but I'm trying.

    Thanks 🙂

    Hi SierraDelta,

    On line 1197 you need to add a background-color to the .sidebar

    Try this...

    .sidebar {
    color: #555;
    background-color: #555;
    display: inline;
    padding-top: 60px;
    padding: 30px;
    }

    Obviously you need to play around with the padding further or the width when on a desktop.

    Hope that helps.

    Hey Jeremy,

    Thanks for that. Although the background colour isnt exactly what I wanted, its pointed me down the right path. For anyone curious, I simply enabled the following additions:

    - background: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5);
    - padding: 18px;
    - border-radius:9px;

    I'm not happy with it, but its a start.
