for .menu-primary, .menu-secondary, #header .menu - add:
text-align: center;
Then
.menu-primary li,
.menu-secondary li,
#header .menu li {
display: inline-block;
float: none;
}

Tony @ AlphaBlossomMemberSorry, I don't understand what you mean?

Tony @ AlphaBlossomMemberHello,
At the very end of your style.css you have:
#nav .wrap {
width: 700px;
}
Remove that and it should take care of your issue and allow your #nav .wrap to be at 100%.

Tony @ AlphaBlossomMemberHello, you'll have to add float: left to their css styles.
around line 1282 in your child-theme css you'll see:
.featuredpage .page,
.featuredpost .post {
margin: 0 0 10px;
overflow: hidden;
padding: 5px 0;
}
You can add "float: left;", and then adjust your margins to space them out and that will take care of it.
I'm not sure how that may affect other pages, so it might be better to add a style just for the home page:
.home .featuredpost .post {
margin: 0 xxpx 10px; /* adjust your margin here */
float: left;
}
If that affects something else that you don't want changes, you can be really specific and use #featured-post-14 .post instead.

Tony @ AlphaBlossomMemberThat's the problem...the doctype has to be declared first, and in ie it's throwing it into quirks mode. I looked at your site on ie and the docs mode defaulted to quircks mode. When I changed it to ie9 or ie8 the site looks good.
I would check your functions.php to see if you see anything that is placing the style tags first. Otherwise, it looks like it was hardcoded somewhere and you'll have to find that.

Tony @ AlphaBlossomMemberIt can be frustrating trying to make sense of someone else's work. Glad we could help.
You have no doctype declared, which is why it looks so bad in ie.

February 14, 2013 at 8:30 pm in reply to: Different Headers & Different Sizes for Different Pages #20445Tony @ AlphaBlossomMemberYou'll need two different css rules, one for the home header, and one for the rest of the headers.
So it should be:
#header {
max-width: 940px;
margin: 0 auto;
width: 100%;
height: 150px;
background: url("http://www.mupplebee.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/SHORTERIMAGE.png") no-repeat scroll 0 0 transparent;
}
.home #header {
height: 656px;
background: url("http://www.mupplebee.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/WebsiteHeader.png") no-repeat scroll 0 0 transparent;
}
You may need to add !important at the end of one or both of the .home #header rules (before the semicolon). That should do what you need.
The newsletter is outside of the header, so it should be affected...hard to tell without seeing it 🙂

Tony @ AlphaBlossomMemberHey JiveDig...I wasn't sure since I've never used Genesis Connect. They've made some major changes to WooCommerce 2.0, so I'm sure tons of plugins aren't working yet.
I've integrated WooCommerce into many Genesis sites without any issues, but I did get a warning on a new site I'm working on using 2.0. The warning was about Theme Compatibility issues and it was the first time I've ever gotten that. I've been working on several sites using WooCommerce 2.0, but this was the only one I had this issue with.
I'm not sure exactly what Genesis Connect does, but WooCommerce provides a way to replace the WooCommerce structure with your theme structure. If you want to try it out, I posted a snippet on my site:
WooCommerce Theme Compatibility With Genesis Framework For WordPress
Might be worth giving it a shot...but please remember to do a full backup before 🙂

Tony @ AlphaBlossomMemberGlad it helped. You can use media queries to control the css at various sizes, which will allow you to make sure it looks good on any device.

Tony @ AlphaBlossomMemberGlad you got it working! Yea, those widths seemed pretty random!
@braddalton thank you for the link 🙂

Tony @ AlphaBlossomMemberWorks fine for me, using the same version of Chrome that you posted.
Maybe try to clear you cache and try it again?

Tony @ AlphaBlossomMemberIt looks like your #inner and #content-sidebar-wrap are set to 862px/865px wide. They should be set wider, a quick look seems like it should be 960px.

Tony @ AlphaBlossomMemberVery nice! It might be more effective to have the newsletter signup higher on the page.

February 14, 2013 at 12:53 am in reply to: New Design of a Relationship, Marriage & Dating Advice Website #20241Tony @ AlphaBlossomMemberLooks very nice. Maybe add some margin under the add-this social icons. The sit directly on top of the image/post with no spacing at all (firefox).

Tony @ AlphaBlossomMemberI've never used Genesis connect, but I have been using WooCommerce 2.0 on several sites that will launch soon.
Make sure your WooCommerce folder (in plugins) is named "woocommerce". I forgot to change the name of the main folder and several plugins wouldn't recognize it.
Not sure if it will help with Genesis Connect, but I thought i'd mention it. And don't forget to backup everything first 🙂

Tony @ AlphaBlossomMemberIt's really hard to advise the best way without seeing the site.
Generally speaking, you can use css to add a border to one side only, and you'll probably have to adjust the padding/margin to space it properly. Maybe something like:
#sidebar {
border-left: 1px solid #ccc; /* change #ccc to your color */
}
It will only extend the height of the sidebar. You can also add border-right to #content if that looks better.
There's lots of ways to do it...but hard to say without seeing your site.

February 14, 2013 at 12:20 am in reply to: Different Headers & Different Sizes for Different Pages #20236Tony @ AlphaBlossomMemberHello,
It's hard to say exactly which is the best way without seeing your site, but you can set your background image for all pages, probably:
#header {
background-image: ~ your image here
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-position: center center;
height: 129px;
}
Then for your home page:
.home #header {
background-image: ~ larger image here;
height: 656px;
}
The .home #header will work on the home page only. That's very rough since I can't see what's going on, but it should be enough to get you going.
