Hi there,
If you go to users > your profile there's a box on top that says "Disable the visual editor when writing." Make sure that's unchecked.
I went crazy one day wondering why my visual editor wasn't showing lol.
Hope that fixes it for you!

Tony @ AlphaBlossomMemberYou said "There is currently the generic div with class “Wrap” but i cannot edit this in the css without changing the entire site"...I"m not sure I understand correctly, but if you can use css with the existing wrap, it's a lot easier than trying to add an extra div inside the header.
You can target the existing header wrap specifically which will not affect any other .wrap divs on the site.
To target only the header wrap, you would use:
#header > .wrap {
}Will that work for what you're tying to do?

Tony @ AlphaBlossomMemberIn your admin panel, under Genesis > Theme settings, for the header select "Image logo."
Then in your child-theme css you can change #title a:
#header #title a {
background: url("images/my-image.png") no-repeat center center;
display: block;
height: 100px;
width: 200px;
}
You can adjust the width and height to your needs. You may also have to adjust #title-area and #title.
That will replace your text with a "clickable" logo image.

Tony @ AlphaBlossomMemberThe code is still showing on your footer.
Where did you place that code? If you look in your functions.php file, do you see that code?
Tony Eppright | http://www.AlphaBlossom.com | Follow me on twitter @_alphablossom
Tony @ AlphaBlossomMemberI'm sorry, the code I entered is wrong (tried to edit it but couldn't), I left out the margin in front. Should be:
.post-image {
margin: 0 0 30px -20px !important;
}
If you can find the existing code in your generate style.css (around line 1386?), you can change it from -40 to -20. But I may have misunderstood which images you're talking about. This change is for the images here:
http://www.thegreeneconomy.com/category/funding-sections/
The thumbnails are all the way to the left, and I thought you were asking about those.
To change the large uncle sam pic on your /uncle-sam-wants-your-clean-tech/ page to be right aligned, you have to change (should be around line 2841):
.entry-content img {
float: left;
padding-right: 20px;
}
If you remove "float: left;" it will allow your images to work properly (either left align or right align).

Tony @ AlphaBlossomMemberTry this in your child-theme css to see if it works:
.really_simple_share {
float: none;
}.really_simple_share + div {
display: none;
}

Tony @ AlphaBlossomMemberCan you post what you placed inside of the simple edits page? Did you make any other changes anywhere, or just on the simple edits page?

Tony @ AlphaBlossomMemberHello,
The css for your img (.post-image) has a large negative margin, -40px, which means it's moving the image very far to the left. That's causing the left edge to line up with the left edge of your container.
Try changing:
.post-image {
0 0 30px -40px !important;
}
to
.post-image {
0 0 30px -20px !important;
}

Tony @ AlphaBlossomMemberHello,
It is a background graphic, so you would have to edit the image to add whatever extra space you want to the top.

Tony @ AlphaBlossomMemberYou're welcome, Cemal.

Tony @ AlphaBlossomMemberHi Cemal,
When you set the background-attachment to fixed, by default it "fixes" relative to the viewport, not the container:
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/CSS/background-attachment
You'd have to use javascript to do it. You can consider using media queries with different css positions for different resolutions, but it's not going to be perfect until you get to full-width content. If you set the left position to 40%, it looks ok for a while. You'd have to play with it and tweak it for various resolutions, probably not the best option.

February 7, 2013 at 6:01 pm in reply to: How To Center The Primary Navigation Horizontal Menus #18790Tony @ AlphaBlossomMemberHey Rob,
Glad it helped!
This is unsolicited advice :), but it would look better at smaller resolutions if you removed the background image and replaced it with a color, or created a background image that is taller.
When the menu doubles into a 2nd row, the image is too short so you have a line in the middle of the menu.
Have a great day.
Tony

Tony @ AlphaBlossomMemberAwesome, glad you got it all sorted out! Have a great day 🙂

Tony @ AlphaBlossomMemberIf you're not using submenus, you can just add:
float: left
under #nav li, so it would be:
#nav li {
list-style-type: none;
float: left;
}
Have a good day!

Tony @ AlphaBlossomMemberYou can try something like this in your child-theme functions.php file:
/** Add text below comment title */
add_action( 'comment_form_top', 'custom_comment_form_after_title();
function custom_comment_form_after_title() {
echo "your text here";
}
I haven't tested it throughly, so please test it but it should do what you need.

February 6, 2013 at 11:55 pm in reply to: 2 diff background colors – Home page & interior page #18585Tony @ AlphaBlossomMemberYou can do this by styling your css for most of the site (white background), then your home page has the custom class of .home.
You can add .home in front of your selector to style your homepage black. For example:
.home #header {
background-color: #000;
}
and white background for the rest of the site:
<code<
#header {
background-colr: #fff;
}You'll have to do this for each area that you want to change the background for.

Tony @ AlphaBlossomMemberIt looks like you have a separate widget (class of .after-post) area that's duplicating the sidebar widget. You should check in your admin widget area to see if it's duplicated there. If not, maybe in your functions.php.
