YES, that worked! I did not remove the code, perhaps the developer did. I really appreciate your help.

tavismeParticipantHi Brad,
Thanks for your reply.I just added text NEW to the first featured listing so you can see what it looks like.
https://amyshair.com/tavismeParticipantI would still like help, never did figure it out. Thanks for your reply.
August 22, 2017 at 7:08 pm in reply to: Do the common third-party plugins work in Studiopress themes? #210656tavismeParticipantYes, and I have used table press without issue with Genesis themes.
tavismeParticipantThe gray line is part of the theme design. It occurs at the bottom of each side widget area.
See the demo: https://my.studiopress.com/themes/foodie/#demo-full
To change, look for border-bottom: 1px solid #eee;
tavismeParticipantI received a reply from the developer. Exactly what I needed. Thanks.

}tavismeParticipantMy guess is that some of your widgets are out of place. Look at the widget area make sure everything is in the correct place (under Appearances). Then use the theme documentation to set up your home page.
https://my.studiopress.com/documentation/third-party-theme-setup-guides/setup-guides/foodie-pro-theme/tavismeParticipantThanks Victor. I will let you know what I find out.
tavismeParticipantThanks Victor for the suggestion. It is the sub menu I need to change. The current menu item and hover are a gradient color, same as is being used on the homepage hero. I have attempted to change it but have been unsuccessful.
tavismeParticipantAshley, When I added the Genesis Responsive Slider widget to the slider area, all of the sidebars became active. I had other widgets active, but for some reason the slider was necessary. Have you sent a message to the developer?
tavismeParticipantI realized you need to have a widget in the Slider Widget area for the home page sidebar to function.
tavismeParticipantI am experiencing the same problem. The sidebars are not working, everything is full-width and just stacks on the page. I came to the forum to find a fix.
tavismeParticipantBrad, Disabling the Yoast Plugin did the trick. I guess I will get help from the Yoast developer and see what is going on.
While the Yoast plugin is enabled, I can't use the 301 redirect plugin either. Thanks for your help.tavismeParticipantYes, I want to redirect each post to a page. But redirects on the site are not working. I tried changing the theme but experienced the same issue, so it doesn't appear to be a theme issue. I am puzzled, I have done this on sites before.
tavismeParticipantThanks Christoph,
The combination of the two suggestions you gave did the trick! The number is now visible. The WooCommerce Colors plugin still does not appear to be working, but I am fine with the default black.
I really appreciate you taking the time to respond.
