Carrie, thanks for inquiring. I am not too sure. I disabled all of the plugins and one by one re-installed them, omitting a plugin most recently updated. That did the trick.
It is still very odd that a random post showed up on the front page.

Frank, thanks for the reply. Perhaps I got some of my terminology wrong.
I am not having trouble with any of the navigation tabs except the HOME tab. I need the TAB in the browser to have a the word HOME. I am not interesting in having the Title Attribute (text that appears when you hoover over the tab).

The code resulted in a "BEFORE CONTENT" available widget. I added the Genesis slider widget and it duplicated the slider I have on the front page. I'll read on to see if and/or how I can add different content to the slider.

Using the Agency theme I was not successful uploading a logo either. I ended up creating a 960 x 115 header with a transparent background. That work around worked fine.

I did see that, so I had tried to resize the logo and uploaded the image; however, it is populating the entire header rather than the left corner.
I am having the same problem. I would like to add a logo to the header left. The right of the header has a menu. The demo site shows a title in this area, I would like to replace it with a logo. I have watched a few other instructional demos that shows how they simply uploaded an image in the HEADER; however, when I try to do this, the image does not fit correctly. What size logo image do I need? What else am I doing wrong. I am not looking to replace the entire header. Thanks
