What version of WP are you running? Do you have cart66? If so, please review these threads:

http://wordpress.org/support/topic/troubleshooting-wordpress-35-master-listThis is the first time I’ve logged into this new forum, there don’t seem to be very many categories. I used to be able to ask questions about my specific theme, now I only see very general forum categories. Am I missing something?
No, you are not missing anything - theme specific forums do not exist here, as many of the questions relate to multiple themes. We recommend that users include a link to their site and the theme they are using to help community members who are assisting know what to look for.
SusanModeratorI believe a header can be done in Flash. This plug-in might make it easier:

SusanModeratorGo to the theme setting on your hosting site. Rename your home.php to something else (I suggest "oldhome.php").
Leave your reading settiings to show "Show your Latest Posts".
SusanModeratorI'm sure there's an easier way of doing it (but I don't know off the top of my head!), but a lot of the themes which have navigation menus above the header and aligned right use a "header right" widget area. Maybe that is something to consider.
Take a look at the Agency theme demo here:

January 2, 2013 at 2:49 pm in reply to: NEWS theme: custom secondary sidebars for different blog pages #9026SusanModeratorTry the Simple Sidebars plugin:
http://www.studiopress.com/plugins/simple-sidebars
"This plugin allows you to create multiple, dynamic widget areas, and assign those widget areas to sidebar locations within the Genesis Framework on a per post, per page, or per tag/category archive basis. "
SusanModeratorRobert - I think the best thing to do is to find a website you like (look at the websites of some web designers you admire, or look in the StudioPress showcase). Once you have a list of sites whose look you like, go to the theme chooser, and pick a theme which most closely looks like the sites you like. I don't think that any one StudioPress theme is more difficult to use than another...
SusanModerator@Jordydme - I'm glad that you were able to find resolution to your issue. I'm sorry, however, that you were disappointed in the lack of support. It appears that you submitted your request in the evening of New Year's Eve. Yesterday was a major holiday, and since most of us here on the board providing support are volunteers, occasionally we take time off and cannot always respond to questions immediately.
SusanModeratorSusanModeratorKendra - I can't test it right now (I can come back later, but rather than have you waiting on me all day);
Using the same code from earlier, I believe if you remove this:
‘feature_image_size’ => ‘featured’,
that will take care of it.
SusanModeratorI've only been on genesis one day, I don’t know if I am supposed to ask for help here or to send a private email off to the developers.
The answer to your first question is: You should submit a help ticket for official support if it is for setting up your site to work in the same manner as the demo. Questions for customization, etc. can be directed here. By all means, you can ask basic set-up questions here, but it sounds like your question related to the menu can be sent to support.
SusanModeratorNice clean site.
The only comment I would make is that some of the interior pages have a date stamp on them - I didn't know whether that was deliberate or not.
SusanModeratorSusanModeratorYou're welcome. 🙂
SusanModeratorI would go ahead and create a widget area above your content, and move the slider in there.
Brian Gardner recently published a blog post which explained how to easily create a text widget. Rather than populate it with text, you could put the slider there:
SusanModeratorThe Craftiness theme uses the Genesis Grid Loop.
In your home.php, look for this:
/** Add support for Genesis Grid Loop */
function craftiness_grid_loop_helper() {
if ( function_exists( 'genesis_grid_loop' ) ) {
genesis_grid_loop( array(
'features' => 2,
'feature_image_size' => 'featured',
'feature_image_class' => 'alignleft post-image',
'feature_content_limit' => 500,
'grid_image_size' => 'thumbnails',
'grid_image_class' => 'alignleft post-image',
'grid_content_limit' => 0,
'more' => __( '[Continue reading...]', 'genesis' ),
'posts_per_page' => 10,
'offset' => 0,
) );
} else {
genesis_standard_loop();
}
}Change the number of "features" from 2 to 1.
Remove this line: 'feature_content_limit' => 500,
Change this line to feature the number of characters in your excerpt: 'grid_content_limit' => 0,
SusanModeratorHappy New Year, Nick!
I was actually in bed before 9pm - I guess I'm getting old - I'd had a busy day earlier in the day (had to drive to camp to pick up my son from Boy Scout winter camp, and then drive home in awful weather - it was exhausting!)
Even though I know I'll break them, I still end up making New Year's resolutions. This year, I want to be consistent about continuing my education, and take a couple of classes per semester (rather than a couple of classes at the beginning of the year, and then doing nothing for the remainder of the year!)
SusanModeratorNice job - I love the transitions in the slider!
SusanModeratorWould something like this work:
http://www.carriedils.com/text-overlay-image/2306
It's not a plug-in - it's a tutorial on adding text to featured images.
