I love your background! Stunning!
I'm with Anita - another wannabe 🙂
SusanModeratorNice work, Brent. I like the customization of the buttons, and the colors you've chosen.
I see you're in the DFW area (as am I...) - nice to see another "local" on the forum.
SusanModeratorFor customization of your theme (beyond looking like the demo), you can still ask here for assistance, and the community will respond if they are able to assist. I would recommend tagging your post with the name of the theme you purchased.

SusanModeratorGo ahead and submit a support ticket, but in the meantime -
I would recommend removing the theme from your hosting site via FTP, and re-installing a clean copy.
SusanModeratorI can't help you access your account, but if you are a long time member, you should still have access to the old forum. I am not a ProPlus member so I cannot confirm, but I believe there is a section over there specifically for ProPlus members with links to all the StudioPress child themes.
This isn't a long term solution for you, but it may assist you on getting access to themes until such time as you get access to your account through mystudiopress.

From what I was reading about the "description" tag, it is more for your personal use in terms of managing your media library, and it isn't important for SEO purposes.
SusanModeratorRonnie:
Welcome to the world of WordPress and StudioPress - I'm a relative newbie myself, having just got involved with both WordPress and StudioPress in early September. Before I started, I knew a little html, but nothing about css or php. I'm no expert by any means, but have learned a lot in the last 3 months.
I think the start of the "must have list" is to have a domain, and a hosting service. I don't know that anyone can provide a complete list which will tell you everything you need to know - I think you just need to install the genesis framework, and a theme (even one of the free themes) on top of it, and then get under the hood, so to speak.
Here is the link to the tutorials, which should get you pointed in the right direction:Â http://my.studiopress.com/tutorials/
Welcome aboard, and good luck!
SusanModeratorSeth:
Nice site - I went there to look at what you've done with the site, and then got engrossed by the content. Cool!
Dustin:
The social circle icons come with the Minimum theme - you would just need to change the colors in the CSS (I believe they are a dark gray straight out of the box, so to speak).
SusanModerator@jrmirand1964: Have you completed the form suggested by Nick:Â http://www.studiopress.com/account-assistance? You will want to provide as much information as possible so they can locate your account - original purchase method; email address; transaction ID, date etc.
SusanModeratorI recommend putting in a ticket - you might be surprised and receive a response over the weekend - the moderators are here in the forum over the weekend, so there's no reason to suspect that they don't answer tickets over the weekend, too (just speculation on my part).
In the meantime, to configure the subscribe button, you should go to dashboard > appearance > editor > page-title.php, and edit the details there. My instructions for the Minimum them (in "setup" as indicated by Andrea) don't reference adding a text widget to the "Welcome widget area" - mine indicate to add a text widget to the "Header right" for setting up the header, or the "Home Featured" area for the social network buttons.
SusanModeratorGavin - although you can't change your user name, you can change how it appears - you can create a "nickname" by editing your profile...
November 23, 2012 at 9:24 pm in reply to: When to use forums -vs- when to use support request? #1461SusanModeratorRoar - I understand that change is not always easy, and you have the right to feel the way you do, but have you had a question since the new forum started that wasn't answered? Currently, the old forums are still open, so you can still search for answers in the old forum - nothing has changed there (yet). I think people just need to give this forum a chance before dismissing it out of hand.
Just my opinion, for what it's worth - I'm not a StudioPress employee or moderator - I'm just a user who understands that change is inevitable, and I'm prepared to embrace the change.
November 22, 2012 at 10:43 am in reply to: Changing # of posts per page on 2nd and subsequent pages… #1281SusanModeratorThanks, Nick, for the prompt response!  I'll either have to live with it, or do something about the sidebar 🙂
SusanModeratorOops - sorry, Nick!
SusanModeratorThe regular price of the Pro Plus package is $349.95
The current price (with the 40% discount applied) is $209.97.
SusanModeratorThanks, Nick - that's great news!
SusanModeratorJohn - I, too, like the idea of being able to see all unanswered posts 🙂
SusanModerator@mindmap - you can still see the old forums: http://www.studiopress.com/forum
SusanModeratorCallie:
If you need technical assistance, you can enter a ticket to the Support Desk for Adorable and Modern Blogger themes at:
https://prettydarncutedesign.zendesk.com/home
If you have questions that are non-specific to those themes, then I believe you can post them here. I own both of those themes, and my blog is based on the Modern Blogger theme (customized by myself so it actually looks very little like the original) - I've spent a bit of time answering questions over at both of those forums, and I'm happy to help with any questions you may have.
