MemberIve only been on genesis one day, I don't know if I am supposed to ask for help here or to send a private email off to the developers. Anyway there are just a couple of things i have noticed which I am unsure about..
The first is that my menu does not seem to be working correctly. There is a gap between the menu text and the drop menu making it so the items in the drop down cannot be clicked. http://nomadspirit.net/ is my site, you can see it happening in the top menu under "Im New"
The second thing is that, when I switched from my original theme 'Salutation' (which is considered quite a heavy theme). The page loading time increased from 93/100 to 77/100 on the google score system. Everybody I have spoken to has always said Genesis is one of the quickest themes, so I am sure it is something i have done wrong. I did have some rather large images that may have caused it, so now I have removed all images to check but is there something i am missing? I have total cache plugin installed but still am only just reaching 83/100. Or perhaps it is Quattro that is a heavy theme?
Thanks anybody who can help..

Memberooh sorry there was one other one..
When I put an image into my header, using a png file, this becomes non-responsive. So everything else shrinks down to mobile readable size apart from the header is now half missing.

ParticipantI haven't a technical answer for you, but the site is working for me in Firefox on the laptop. The header image is 'live' and takes you to the test home page.
I do have troubles with the dropdown on my Kindle Fire.
It may be the Kindle, but I'm not pleased with the mobile results on my own site using Quattro. I want the sidebar to show up and I can't get it to 'shrink' sufficiently.
Of four sites I've been looking at on the Kindle (no smart phone available) this morning, Prose is the only theme that is looking good to me.

MemberI'm having the same problem with the drop down. It looks fine (www.notesafloat.com/1020) but you cannot click on any of the items.

ParticipantI could get your navigation to work, Amesbury. If I linger on Services, the dropdown shows up, but sometimes it takes long enough for the Kindle to ask me about other tasks. The links in the dropdown work.
I hope this can be smoothed out soon. I want to use this theme!

MemberYeh, your dropdown menu worked fine looking from my end also. I am just going to have no drop down for now.

KeymasterI am using Firefox v 17.0.1 and I see the space in there. I've tried using Firebug to remove the space and cannot locate it anywhere. As for your load time, I cannot comment about that, but maybe someone else will chime in here.

MemberThe "ismyblogworking.com" website is saying my page loading time is 1316 ms, which is really slow, but my download size is only 4,960 bytes.
I don't understand how my page is now less bytes in size but takes nearly 1 second longer to load?
I used to be at 7000bytes on my old theme and the loading time was around 400ms.
I hope I can figure this out, I know how important page loading time is and may have to return to my other theme if it is not solvable.

ParticipantHere is some information on nav menu issues that might be relevant to the issue with the Quattro theme. Scroll towards the bottom and have a look at the CSS. If this doesn't solve your issue I would suggest entering a support ticket as I'm seeing this happen on the Quattro Demo site as well which indicates it's a support issue and should be resolved for everyone using the theme.

The answer to your first question is: You should submit a help ticket for official support if it is for setting up your site to work in the same manner as the demo. Questions for customization, etc. can be directed here. By all means, you can ask basic set-up questions here, but it sounds like your question related to the menu can be sent to support.

MemberI'm also having issues with the theme. The navigation drop downs do not work. You can see them but when you try to click on them, you can't. This is a basic part of the site that should be working. Does anyone know what the reason could be? Thanks!
http://www.camilamendoza.com (the site is on maintenance mode because I don't want the public to see that the drop downs don't work.)

MemberI had the same problem too. Fixed it by editing the CSS file around line 367. Original styles are commented out.
.menu-primary li ul,
.menu-secondary li ul,
#header .menu li ul {
background: url(images/wrap.png);
border: 1px solid #ccc;
border-top: 0;
height: auto;
left: -9999px;
/*margin: 10px 0 0;*/
margin:0;
padding: 0 10px;
position: absolute;
width: 150px;
/*z-index: 9999;*/
}April 24, 2013 at 7:40 pm #37492adougherty
Participant@Lori's solution worked partially for me. If you take out the z-index it messes with the stacking in the mobile version. Leaving that in but taking out the margins seems to make it work for desktop and mobile.
Caveat: Haven't tested extensively so YMMV.
