I changed to

emptied all caches and had no change in this area. ;-(

The Show archive link is exactly what I am looking for, only it is more natural for visitors to click on the 'header' or 'thumbnail' to get there. I'm not sure why the 'custom field for link' doesn't work. I'll keep working on it 😉

Yes, would like the title OR thumbnail to link to the 'archives' page for that category

Thanks anitac. I installed that and it looks like it should allow me to add a custom link to the thumbnail, however, when I put in a URL in that setting, it does not override the permalink. I did not find any setting to allow the 'title' to be a link.

any ideas?

I only have one ad in the sidebar.

I can't change the ad size. it is set by BlogHer. I want to change the amount of space in between items in the sidebar so that it moves up.

Yes it is horrible slow but my husband thinks that iPower hosting is the best. I am re-activating plug-ins right now and trying to figure out which one is the culprit.

OMG Susan I deactivated all my plugins and it is working fine! I guess I'll have to reactivate one at a time until I figure out where the conflict lies.

I deleted the menu item "grub" and substituted "Food Blog" but the posts are not being directed there. I should have at least four posts going there that I changed the category on.
