    HI, I am using the Fabricated theme. I need to reduce the sidebar padding (space between widgets?) in order for my ad to be above the fold. I have tried changing the 10px sidebar padding to zero but nothing happens.

    Ideas?

    Thanks,

    Mary O'Brien

    What size ad are you trying to fit in there?

    I can't change the ad size. it is set by BlogHer. I want to change the amount of space in between items in the sidebar so that it moves up.

    So you want horizontal padding in between your ads? It look like you have multiple ads inside one (1) text widget with breaks in between. The padding is only going to work if you add your ads into individual widget areas.

    Try #text-8 { padding-top: 0px; }

    I think this is what controls it:

    .sidebar .widget {
    margin: 0;
    padding: 30px 20px;
    }

    and you want to change it but limit the change to widget #text-8
