March 1, 2019 at 3:02 am in reply to: How to make menu items fit in certain width (News PRO theme) #489775andytcParticipant
You can try this as custom CSS , make sure you test it all the way down through devices.
You might have to add !important in certain places depending on where you add this -
.genesis-nav-menu { display: flex; justify-content: space-between; } .genesis-nav-menu .menu-item { display: inline-block; text-align: center; margin-right: 0; width: 100%; } .genesis-nav-menu li:last-child a { border-right:none; } @media only screen and (max-width: 1023px) { .genesis-nav-menu { display: block; } .genesis-nav-menu .menu-item { width: auto; } }
andytcParticipantFebruary 22, 2019 at 2:53 am in reply to: Desperate for help here: CPT archive redirects to single post #489664andytcParticipantTry temporarily re-naming the archive.php from -
archive-livestreams.php
To -
archive-livestreams-bck.php
See if that makes any difference ?
Also check the permalink on that single post in the editor
February 12, 2019 at 12:54 am in reply to: Changing individual page background color in Altitude Pro #489499andytcParticipantSite inner text colour is already white.
For the site-inner background use this -
.page-id-622 .site-inner { background-color: transparent; }
The 'page-id-622' bit is the ID of the page named 'sponsors'
February 12, 2019 at 12:47 am in reply to: Trouble with indents when using .entry-content class selector #489498andytcParticipantOops .. sorry Victor posted same time 🙂
February 12, 2019 at 12:46 am in reply to: Trouble with indents when using .entry-content class selector #489497andytcParticipantYou just need to be more specific with the selector for the class you want to affect
As below should fix it for you -
.home .wp-block-gallery { margin-left: 0; }
This will affect only the wp-gallery-block on the home page and will be affected by what's set in Reading >> Settings , for you , it's 'home'.
You could also use the page ID , on your site for the home page it would be -
.page-id-1410 .wp-block-gallery { margin-left: 0; }
Same result , it's about being specific when needed so that CSS changes you make don't affect the whole site on certain elements , so we have to be more focused to avoid that.
February 9, 2019 at 4:08 am in reply to: Renaming Genesis Sample causes WP to not detect it as a theme #489436andytcParticipantI've already changed the prefixes and theme names in functions.php and style.css ...
If you could post just those sections of code after you made the edits and then post the exact file name for the folder .. including if it has any upper or lowercase characters. Someone might be able to help further.
February 6, 2019 at 12:08 am in reply to: Problem with Plugin not working with Genesis Themes #489334andytcParticipantIt’s all working fine for me. I signed up , logged in favourited and starred some items , no problems.
February 4, 2019 at 6:17 am in reply to: Infinity Pro – Change the height of the home page background images #489284andytcParticipantInfinity Pros Front-Page-1 has a VH unit set -
.front-page-1 { height: 100vh; }
A further media query -
@media only screen and (max-width: 800px) .front-page-1 { height: auto; }
That forces it be the full height on whatever size device you're on, until it gets to that media query.
you could try changing the main entry to display auto and see if that helps with the height.
.front-page-1 { height: auto; }
https://css-tricks.com/fun-viewport-units/
Viewport Height (vh) – Is a percentage of the full viewport height. 10vh will resolve to 10% of the current viewport height.
February 1, 2019 at 10:45 pm in reply to: Custom Attachment Page for images with create attachment.php #489219andytcParticipantRemove these lines -
Line:1
<?php get_header(); ?>
Line:67
<?php get_sidebar(); ?>
Line:69
<?php get_footer(); ?>
Add this line at the very end -
<?php genesis(); ?>
There'll be more to do depending on how you want to use that code , but that's the basics , we don't need those header - sidebar or footer calls , the function <genesis> calls it all for us.
andytcParticipantUsing Display: none will not make any difference to website speeds, everything is still being loaded. It’s purely a visual experience.
January 25, 2019 at 11:51 pm in reply to: Help Please I need this working – Lifestyle Pro Increase Image #474402andytcParticipantWhat size is the image you're using ? even if it does fill the container it will look bad as it's very small.
Have you tried uploading a much bigger image ?
If you've changed image sizes in functions.php , have you also regenerated thumbnails ?
Plugin - https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/
andytcParticipantWhat about something using Modal windows ?

January 9, 2019 at 10:21 pm in reply to: Added one filter, it worked; added two, it broke the site. Why? #241709andytcParticipantTry this -
function wpstudio_add_class( $attributes ) { $attributes['class'] = $attributes['class']. ' team_title team_subtitle'; return $attributes; } add_filter( 'genesis_attr_content', 'wpstudio_add_class' );
Note - As victor mentioned - there are 2 instances of the function name to change -
function wpstudio_add_class
and also at the end -
add_filter( 'genesis_attr_content', 'wpstudio_add_class' )
They must be the same
andytcParticipant/genesis-sample/style.css - Line 1023
.genesis-nav-menu .sub-menu a { background-color: #fff; font-size: 14px; position: relative; word-wrap: break-word; }
Change the background-color -
background-color: #18ddb0;
January 4, 2019 at 5:49 am in reply to: Is it possible to insert a widget into a static page (Breakthrough Pro)? #225408andytcParticipantIt can be done without a plugin but will require some coding work to get it done. It’s not difficult once you’ve been through it.
A link here -
https://wpsites.net/web-design/widget-genesis/
Otherwise you’ll have to find a WordPress plugin to do it for you.
andytcParticipantYou can add a phone number into the header or before the header and make that sticky, lots of code out there to use for that.
Example -
https://www.osg.systemsandytcParticipantIf it’s the phone numbers in the footer in the site you linked , they are perfectly clickable for me on my phone.
andytcParticipantAlthough the single posts will not be linked to , they can still be accessed. If you wanted to totally deny access to the single posts add this into functions.php of your child theme.
/********************************** * * Deny Single post access * **********************************/ /* Deny access to single-post.php for trucks CPT */ function pl_disable_single_truck_views() { $queried_post_type = get_query_var('post_type'); if ( is_single() && 'trucks' == $queried_post_type ) { wp_redirect( home_url(), 301 ); exit; } } add_action( 'template_redirect', 'pl_disable_single_truck_views' );
andytcParticipantThis should get you started with it , I haven't included your ACF fields only the post-title , it's best you play with that to get what you want. I've added some comments so you know what's what ... remove these when you are done.
It's set-up for pagination and will use the posts per page specified in WordPress 'Reading' Settings.
Some 'removes' are present at the start of the template shown as examples , just un-comment the lines if you want to use them or add your own from genesis.
<?php /* * Custom WordPress Template: Archive trucks */ // Removing elements from the archive - add/remove what you need - // Example removes Breadcrumbs // remove_action( 'genesis_before_loop', 'genesis_do_breadcrumbs' ); // Example - removes Archive Title and Description // remove_action( 'genesis_before_loop', 'genesis_do_cpt_archive_title_description' ); // Removing the standard loop remove_action( 'genesis_loop', 'genesis_do_loop' ); // Adding our custom trucks loop add_action( 'genesis_loop', 'trucks_archive_loop' ); function trucks_archive_loop() { // Define the query for CPT named trucks $args = array( 'post_type' => 'trucks', // the name of your CPT 'posts_per_page' => get_option('posts_per_page'), // Uses the WordPress 'Reading' Settings post per page 'post_status' => 'publish', 'paged' => get_query_var( 'paged' ) ); // run our query $query = new WP_Query( $args ); if( $query->have_posts() ) { while ( $query->have_posts() ) { $query->the_post(); ?> <h2><?php the_title(); ?></h2> <!-- post title --> <!-- ADD YOUR CUSTOM FIELDS HERE --> <?php } // endwhile do_action( 'genesis_after_endwhile' ); // Pagination - previous >> next page - 'Reading' Settings post per page } else { // no posts found. } } // end function trucks_archive_loop // reset postdata to restore orginal query wp_reset_postdata(); // call genesis for everything else genesis();
