I just designed a website for a new client using a real estate specific framework called Equity, which I believe is a licensed version of Genesis offered through the folks at Agent Evolution.

As you know, for years various theme providers have included landing pages as part of their built-in page templates. Unfortunately, most of the landing pages I've seen are full page. I've avoided using them in the past because I felt like they would confuse website visitors.

I need to design a contest notification and I want it to pop up as a window when the visitor arrives at my client's website. Is there a way to make a landing page look like it's a window on top of the home page or should I be using something else to achieve that effect? I've seen things like OptinMonster, so perhaps that's an option, but I really don't need that level of functionality.

As you can tell, I'm totally ignorant when it comes to the subject of pop-ups and landing pages, so any help you can provide is very much appreciated. 🙂

The StudioPress community forum is for Genesis Framework users. Not Equity Framework. Equity has it's own framework with it's own changelog and updates. You may want to reach out to the Equity developers for this - https://www.agentevolution.com/support-policy/ since it's not related to the Genesis Framework or StudioPress.

Anita, I was providing that first paragraph for context.

The simple fact is most of the Genesis templates, for which I'm a licensed Pro-Plus owner, include landing pages, which still make my question relative.

As andytc suggested, you would use some sort of pop up modal.
