I have an eCommerce site that uses Jigoshop, that I'd like to rebuild with Genesis.

Is anyone currently using Jigoshop with Genesis?

The related StudioPress forum posts, and Jigoshop's efforts to integrate with Genesis (theme and plugin), are more than a couple years old.

If you use Genesis and Jigoshop, do they work together smoothly, or have you had to do any workarounds?

Theme: I am running the current Genesis + Daily Dish Pro

Question: How to properly unhook Jigoshop content wrappers and replace with the ones in use in my theme.

On shop and product pages Jigoshop pushes my sidebar content to the bottom of the page. You can see it here:

It must be a common occurrence as Jigoshop offers this solution:

However, I can't for the life of me determine what to unhook and how to properly implement the the code provided.

There are at least 19 Genesis themes designed with ecommerce in mind.

Some are designed for WooCommerce, others for Cart-66, Jigoshop or iThemes Exchange, so you have options. The designs are varied and almost any should be adaptable to your client's design needs and target market. More than one user has used Agency for an eShop with good results, even though it is not originally intended for an online store. See

To determine exactly what components and services you need for any ecommerce solution, you should probably contact the solution provider directly. Several in these forums will be happy to offer opinions and expertise as well.

I'm looking to build an ecommerce site using Genesis. Woocommerce seems to be the most-recommended shopping cart plugin. However, the meta data (such as price) of the Woocommerce product custom post type is not available via Genesis. I don't want to simply have a "shop" menu item, but be able to display featured products on the home page.

I've read the Jigoshop fork of Woocommerce is more Genesis compatible, but it doesn't appear to be so 'out of the box.' I'm not looking for an expensive customized solution. Otherwise, I'd go with a full-on ecommerce platform such as Magento or PrestaShop.

Has anyone built an ecommerce site (not a simple blog with a shop) using Genesis?

A couple options I use are jigoshop and woocommerce. Both have Genesis Connect plugins but...

The answer depends on how much ecommerce do you need?

The one everyone seems to be using right nwo is WooCommerce. It is a very solid plugin and is free, till you need different gateways and other features. Others to consider include

• WP eCommerce
• Cart-66
• JigoShopp (which WooCommerce was originally based on)
• Shopp

and quite a few others, but those are the more polished ones out there right now.
