I am looking to add a shopping cart to my site, and would appreciate any recommendations.

Ideally, I'd like something that has the option for multiple items to be added with a single P&P charge / checkout process.

The one everyone seems to be using right nwo is WooCommerce. It is a very solid plugin and is free, till you need different gateways and other features. Others to consider include
- WP eCommerce
- Cart-66
- JigoShopp (which WooCommerce was originally based on)
- Shopp
and quite a few others, but those are the more polished ones out there right now.
