Hi there,
I need to prepare a proposal for a client for an eCommerce website...
Her African ethnic range products include clothing and accessories for men, women and children .
I would prefer using Gensis but there doesn't appear to be Genesis theme that is dedicated to eCommerce fuctionality. I particularly want to stay with the framework/child theme structure. Probably going to use Woocommerce.
I've looked at several other themes that are specifically built for ecommerce and Woocommerce integrated already.
Such as Mayashop and Sistina from Themeforest. These appear to be really good options. Also, looked at Mariah from Web Savvy Marketing which is based on Genesis, but it appears too feminine....not sure whether it can be customised enough to make is suitable for men, women and children.
Also, if you have experience in building eCommerce websites, I would really appreciate your insight here.
Best regards

Added a grid to it recently which looks really good for displaying products.
You can install the Genesis WooCommerce Connect plugin which includes 3 templates.

From a lot of other eCommerce threads that I've read thru here on the forum, it appears that there are a load of additional Woocommerce plugins that you have to pay for to get required functionality.
For this clothing and accessory store what additional plugins would be required? I don't want to leave some critical component out of the pricing....
And BTW, this store will be set up to take payments from international clients as well.
Regards

There are at least 19 Genesis themes designed with ecommerce in mind.
Please see: http://genesisthemes.ca/theme_category/business/ecommerce/Some are designed for WooCommerce, others for Cart-66, Jigoshop or iThemes Exchange, so you have options. The designs are varied and almost any should be adaptable to your client's design needs and target market. More than one user has used Agency for an eShop with good results, even though it is not originally intended for an online store. See
http://healingwithcoconut.com/ and ... there's a kids clothing store done with Agency, but I can't find the URL in the forums. To determine exactly what components and services you need for any ecommerce solution, you should probably contact the solution provider directly. Several in these forums will be happy to offer opinions and expertise as well.
Choose your next site design from over 350 Genesis themes.

Thanks for the information - I didn't realise that there were so many themes available for ecommerce.
I have spent some time researching and the choices for Woocommerece additional components and also for payment gateways that will operate in Nigeria is quite daunting.
Does anyone have any experience with 2Checkout and with Cybersource? (both appear to cater for Nigerian clients)
Also, for a clothing and accessory store, which Woocommerce additional modules do you suggest I include in the proposal?
The store will sell products globally.Any further insight will be appreciated,
Best regards
