Can the “horizontal scrolling announcement wordpress plug-in” be used on the Magazine Pro Theme? If you have used this plug-in with the Magazine Pro Theme, I would appreciate it if you would share where and how you set it up. Thank you.
This is a follow-up post to the thread (which seems to have been auto-closed, or perhaps mod-closed?)
is there a way to modify the white background color that is visible behind the scrolling images? The white shows at the bottom of images as they scroll to the top, like a page behind the images?
I hadn't taken the time to explore this mod more closely and find the same issue Mark has discovered: horizontal bands of the background showing through beneath the new image sections. These bands relate to the fixed or 'sticky' menu.
To eliminate the bands a small adjustment to the parallax javascript is required. This was tested using five parallax sections and is not affected by being logged in (different screen top starting point) or screen width (changes from sticky menu to mobile menu). For each background section in parallax.js, reduce the background scroll value by 70 (pixels):
// Enable parallax effect backgroundscroll = scrollwindow - $(".home-section-2").offset().top; $(".home-section-2").css("backgroundPosition", "0px " + -(backgroundscroll/6)-70 + "px");
For the original code setup, see the original thread noted above.

[Resolved]Topic: How can I have a horizontal menu
I have lots of pages. I have created a menu which becomes long and the page needs scrolling to see the full list. It looks terrible. How can I make it a horizontal menu instead of vertical? Is there any plugin? I am using minimum pro theme. Please help.
Topic: Several Questions
Hi, I have a few questions I haven't been able to find answers to. I'm using the Magazine theme.
First, I have the Featured Posts widget in my sidebar using 150x150 thumbnails. When I change it to 100x100, the thumbnails become super enlarged.
I'm also trying to use a plugin called WP-PageNavi for numbered page navigation, but when I activate it nothing happens. Is this an issue with the theme? Any fix?
Is it possible to use an image instead of the "Continue Reading..." text?
How can I do a horizontal slider for the Featured Posts widget? So users can scroll through more articles while staying on the same page.
Thanks for your help!
For some reason my site is really wide. I probably made a change to the css but I don't know what exactly. Is there anyway to have the website scroll vertically only, rather than have than big white space when you scroll to the right?
My website is http://giftcloudnine.com
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to make the featured properties scroll horizontally in a bar such as this site does http://www.suegardnerrealty.com/ at the bottom of the page. If anyone has been able to do this with Agentpress two I would appreciate a way to do this. Thanks so much
[Resolved]Topic: Posts are not responsive
Site: http://www.cherrybirchdesigns.com
When I view my responsive layouts, the header, the navigation and the widgets are responding correctly. However, my posts and pages are wider than the navigation. To read the copy, you have to scroll horizontally. I purchased a responsive theme to avoid this.
I want the copy to wrap, and while I've tried changing the width, it's not working.
Any ideas?
I'm using Modern portfolio child theme. I have a client that uses Amazon Astores on pages. The iframes are cut off on the right side. As ugly as it is, client wants it to scroll on small mobile devices. I've tried adding .entry-content overflow to scroll and that adds a horizontal scroll bar in firefox when browser is resized but it's not appearing on iphone. Any ideas? Thanks!
Topic: Make responsive unresponsive
I am blessed with a fully responsive theme, Decor8ted. But I rather have - website that s not responsive, but instead only zooms out to adjust its width to the width of the readers device. So that my website looks the same on all devices, and users can zoom in accordingly. That means no horizontal scroll bars 🙂
Is this easily done? Is this just done by deleting all the @width ?
