I am working on a development site and on the front page I am using the sidebar-content-sidebar layout for the Home Page and then content-sidebar for all other pages. This is a new install of the Prose theme. I want to make the Primary (right side) Sidebar a tad smaller and the Secondary (left side) Sidebar a tad larger, but don't know where in the code to make these adjustments. I found the below area in the Prose Theme Stylesheet (style.css) and adjusted both width settings by the same amounts (e.g. reduced the .sidebar 280px to 210px and #sidebar-alt from 140px to 210px), but nothing happened.
/* Primary / Secondary Sidebars
------------------------------------------------------------ */
.sidebar {
display: inline;
float: right;
font-size: 14px;
padding: 10px 0 0;
width: 280px;
}#sidebar-alt {
float: left;
width: 140px;
}I wanted to also increase the width of the content and reduce the width of the sidebar on the other pages?
Hello there,
I would like to edit the width of my landing from '740px' to '1024px', but i can not seem to find my way around this.
This is the only code i see around containers, and 740px isn't specified so i'm sure how to adjust my width.
/* Site Containers
--------------------------------------------- */.site-inner,
.wrap {
margin: 0 auto;
max-width: 1140px;
}.site-inner {
clear: both;
margin-top: 100px;
}.parallax-home .site-inner {
margin-top: 70px;
max-width: 100%;
}.parallax-landing .site-inner {
margin-top: 100px;
}___
Thanks for your help.
[Resolved]Topic: Enterprise Theme – Move New Homepage Feature Widget
Hello,
I'm working on a site using the Enterprise Pro theme. I just added a "Homepage Feature" widget where I wanted to add text about the site. Currently, I have it showing up under the Header/logo of the site. I would prefer that it goes under another widget ("Home-Top"). Can anyone tell me how to adjust the coding to make this happen?
Here's the code I added to the functions.php :
/** Top Homepage feature section */
add_action( 'genesis_after_header', 'news_homepage_feature', 9 );
function news_homepage_feature() {
if ( is_home() && is_active_sidebar( 'homepage-feature' ) ) {
echo '<div class="homepage-feature">';
dynamic_sidebar( 'homepage-feature' );
echo '</div><!-- end .homepage-feature -->';
}and this was added to the .css file :
.homepage-feature {
background:#ddd;
width:960px;
margin:0 auto;THANK YOU!
Topic: Parallax Pro – Mobile
Hello! -
I'm hoping someone may be able to help me. I'm using Parallax Pro, and notice on mobile, the page seems to be cutting off on the right side. I did tweak the CSS, but did not make any adjustments to margins or container widths (just changed the fonts). If someone could point me in the direction of where this is controlled, would be awesome. Thanks in advance.link to site http://www.brandnamedude.com/site/
[Resolved]Topic: News Pro Layout Widths – not responding to changes
Hi,
I'm looking for help with custom layout widths. I'm using News Pro and in order to adjust the width of a 3 columns layout, I modified the style.css file with the following code. However, when choosing a full-width layout on a specific page, the content width still remains narrower. It's looking very weird, and is distorting the price tables I have installed.
Here is the page: http://vi-control.net/portal/advertising/
Right now I'm using a content-sidebar layout, but there again, the sidebar leaves an ugly margin on the right, which keeps the content from expanding. I tried using a Genesis layout plugin, but it wasn't working, and I suspect that my CSS is messed up.
Can someone look at it and help me find what I need to correct for the layouts to work properly?
Many thanks!
Here is the CSS code which I believe covers that area:
/* Structure and Layout ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- */ /* Site Containers --------------------------------------------- */ .site-container { margin: 3px auto; max-width: 1140px; } .news-pro-landing .site-container { max-width: 1140px; } .site-inner { clear: both; background-color: #fff; border: 1px solid #e3e3e3; } /* Column Widths and Positions --------------------------------------------- */ /* Wrapping div for .content and .sidebar-primary */ .content-sidebar-sidebar .content-sidebar-wrap, .sidebar-content-sidebar .content-sidebar-wrap, .sidebar-sidebar-content .content-sidebar-wrap { width: auto; } .content-sidebar-sidebar .content-sidebar-wrap { float: left; width: 75% !important; background: url(http://vi-control.net/images/musicneverstops.jpg) no-repeat; background-position: bottom;} } .sidebar-content-sidebar .content-sidebar-wrap, .sidebar-sidebar-content .content-sidebar-wrap { float: right; } /* Content articles posts */ .content { float: right; width: 45% !important; background: #fff; } .content-sidebar .content, .content-sidebar-sidebar .content { border-right: 1px solid #e3e3e3; float: left; } .sidebar-content-sidebar .content { border-left: 1px solid #e3e3e3; border-right: 1px solid #e3e3e3; float: left; } .sidebar-content .content, .sidebar-sidebar-content .content { border-left: 1px solid #e3e3e3; } .content-sidebar-sidebar .content, .sidebar-content-sidebar .content, .sidebar-sidebar-content .content { } .full-width-content .content { width: 100%; } /* Primary Sidebar */ .sidebar-primary { float: left; width: 55%; } .sidebar-content .sidebar-primary, .sidebar-sidebar-content .sidebar-primary { float: left; } .sidebar-sidebar-content .sidebar-primary { border-left: 1px solid #e3e3e3; } .content-sidebar-sidebar .sidebar-primary { border-right: 1px solid #e3e3e3; } /* Secondary Sidebar latest posts*/ .sidebar-secondary { background: #e2ecfb; float: left; font-size: 14px; width: 25% !important; padding:8px; } .content-sidebar-sidebar .sidebar-secondary { }
Topic: Resize Header–Author Pro
I'm having a lot of trouble resizing my header in Author Pro. I feel like this should be the easiest change possible, yet I can't seem to figure it out.
First, there seems to be a limit to how far I can adjust the width. Around 450px or so, it stops increasing, no matter how large the original image size. I'm not certain how large I want the header to be, because I haven't been able to see how it looks at different sizes, but I'd guess somewhere between 500-600px.
Second, increasing the width just to 400px or so causes all kinds of problems with the nav menu. It looks terrible on smaller screens, with far too much white space when the page is scrolled fully up. Also, the nav menu cuts off the top of the page content. I've tried adjusting the margin of the nav-menu, but that just causes the menu to overlap the header at small sizes.
I'm working on a private staging site, so I'd rather not post the password publicly. Even just pointing me toward the code I need to look at would be a big help.

.agency-pro-landing .site-inner,
.agency-pro-landing .wrap {
margin: 0 auto;

Topic: Custom header setup
Hi
I recently purchased Agency Child theme from Genesis, and I just know some basic html code.I want to display a custom size header in my homepage, about 1000 x 350, because default header size is 300 x 60.
I asked support team and they told me "the header dimensions were defined in the custom header support added in the themes functions.php file and I would need to customize this code, as well as adjust the theme style.css in order to make this customization"So in the functions.php file I found this piece of code:
//* Add support for custom header
add_theme_support( 'custom-header', array(
'header_image' => '',
'header-selector' => '.site-title a',
'header-text' => false,
'height' => 60,
'width' => 300,So, Is it just necessary to change the height and width sizes in this code? And what changes should I make in the theme style.css file?
Thanks.
Luis
