Topic: Adjusting the layout of my Parallax Page
I am trying to make some adjustments (basic, I hope!) to the main content page layout, helped by the Designer Pallete I bought.
Here is the link of what I got till now.http://logisticsnetworkdesign.com/optitest/
This are my (latest,,,,) questions:
1. How can I 'move' the breadcrum higher (less space between it and the menu section at the top)
2. How can I reduce the space between the title (Optitest) and both the breadcrum section at the top and the content below
3. Is there a way i can adjust/control the width of the content and sidebar sections? Would like to make the content wider,,,
4. How can I 'paint' the background (behind the content and sidebar) with a color other than white so the content and sidebar sections display clearer?
Thank you!
JerryI'm using Daily Dish Pro and love the standard size image that displays on the homepage blog posts. The only trouble is that on occasion a post has an image that's in landscape format. Is there a way to keep the standard image width, but allow for the height to adjust in the rare event that I post a landscape picture like a book cover? For an example, check out the post entitled "Review: Christian Reconstruction: R. J. Rushdoony and American Religious Conservatism," which was posted today, April 24th. Thanks for your help!
[Resolved]Topic: Custom Header Image size
I've changed the custom header image size in my functions.php to be 600x100px. I've gone into the dashboard, gone into my Theme and customised. I then uploaded the new 600x100px image no problems.
Now when I view my page the header image is only showing the last right portion of the image, as if it's set to a left alignment and is chopping the image off.
I've tried adjusting the float setting in my style.css but it hasnt helped. Shown below.
.header-image .site-title > a {
background-position: top !important;
float: left;
min-height: 80px;
width: 100%;Anyone know what else i need to change so my image is 100% showing?
[Resolved]Topic: Create an individual Sub-Navigation Design
Hello, I am new to this forum, and would love if someone can help me please.
I would like to know how to change the order of widgets displayed on the homepage please.
I use the "Epik" theme and genesis framework, and I know that I need to edit the home.php file. It shows the numbers of widgets like this:
function epik_home_genesis_meta() {
if ( is_active_sidebar( 'slider-wide' ) || is_active_sidebar( 'slider' ) || is_active_sidebar( 'welcome-wide' ) || is_active_sidebar( 'welcome-feature-1' ) || is_active_sidebar( 'welcome-feature-2' ) || is_active_sidebar( 'welcome-feature-3' ) || is_active_sidebar( 'home-feature-4' ) || is_active_sidebar( 'home-feature-5' ) || is_active_sidebar( 'home-feature-6' ) || is_active_sidebar( 'home-feature-7' ) || is_active_sidebar( 'home-feature-8' ) || is_active_sidebar( 'home-feature-9' ) || is_active_sidebar( 'home-feature-10' ) || is_active_sidebar( 'home-feature-11' ) || is_active_sidebar( 'home-feature-12' ) || is_active_sidebar( 'home-feature-13' ) || is_active_sidebar( 'home-feature-14' ) ) {
remove_action( 'genesis_loop', 'genesis_do_loop' );
add_action( 'genesis_after_header', 'epik_home_loop_helper_top' );
add_action( 'genesis_after_header', 'epik_home_loop_helper_welcome' );
add_action( 'genesis_after_header', 'epik_home_loop_helper_middle' );
add_action( 'genesis_after_header', 'epik_home_loop_helper_mid_bottom' );
add_action( 'genesis_after_header', 'epik_home_loop_helper_bottom' );
add_filter( 'genesis_pre_get_option_site_layout', '__genesis_return_full_width_content' );}
}and more code after that. I would like to know if there is an easy and simple way to adjust the order in which these widgets are displayed on the homepage. For example wanted to move the widget 9,10,11,12,13 up after the widget 4.
I appreciate any help or suggestions!!!
Topic: CSS applied to just posts
Hi!
I'm having fun modifying the sample theme. One thing has got me completely stumped.
I'm using the following CSS:
.content .entry {
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
border-top: 15px solid #333;
}to centre the content and add a thick bar across the top (see: http://screencast.com/t/K4p3a69J)
and to make the content narrower, I have to adjust the full width content:
.full-width-content .content {
width: 70%;
}(I figured I'd stay with %s to keep the responsive simple. It looks "ok" on mobile and at this point that's fine by me!)
So: the problem is that this applies to ALL pages and posts. But I only want it to apply to blog posts.
I can't for the life of me find the class that makes it just for posts, rather than pages.
Thanks in advance,
Jake
Hi guys,
I am trying to work out how to customise the header image size. Instead of the black background in the header/site title area / right widget area I would like to place this image for the header - http://www.mayanhealing.com.au/wp-content/uploads/header_bg1-1024x100-Full.png and then have the navigation sit under it.
Is that at all possible to do?
I have tried adjusting the heights and widths of things in the CSS however it doesn't seem to make any difference, it still only allows me to enter in a 360 x 70 header image, it stays to that crop size limitation.
Any help would be great thanks.
The site is in maintenance mode at the moment (coming soon page)
