Hi,
Make the following CSS changes in style.css/* For Desktop ------------------------------------------------------------------------ */ /*Line no. 945 - add max-height*/ .site-header { background-color: #333; left: 0; max-height: 148px; /*Added*/ min-height: 61px; position: fixed; top: 0; width: 100%; z-index: 999; } /*Line no. 1024 - change min-height*/ .header-image .site-title a { float: left; min-height: 165px; /*Modified*/ width: 100%; } /* Media Query for lower resolution ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- */ @media only screen and (max-width: 1023px) { .site-header { max-height: none; } }
You may add the above CSS for lower resolution in existing media query for max-width: 1023px, which you may find on Line no. 2003
WisdmLabsMemberHi,
There is a setting in the backend where you can replace the site title with image logo.
You can find this in Genesis -> Theme Settings -> HeaderFor more elaborate steps on how to add logo to your Genesis child theme, you can refer this article.
February 17, 2015 at 12:00 pm in reply to: Make a little upside down triangle on active page menu #141118WisdmLabsMemberHi,
Add the following CSS in your style.css.current-menu-item a:after { content: ' '; position: absolute; border-color: transparent transparent #7c193f; border-width: 0 9px 10px 9px; border-style: solid; bottom: 0; left: 50%; margin-left: -9px; }
WisdmLabsMemberHi,
Add the below CSS in Custom CSS section in the backend or at the end of style.css of theme.site-footer a, .site-footer a:hover { color: #999; }
WisdmLabsMemberHi,
Instead of targeting the ID, which will differ every time, you can use class selector with pseudo class:last-child
Example:
.menu li:last-child { /*CSS to style the last li tag*/ } .menu li:last-child a { /*CSS to style the anchor tag inside li*/ }
This should work for other Genesis themes also.
WisdmLabsMemberHi,
For changing the background-color of only the header, add the below CSS at the end of style.css.outreach-pro-red .site-header { background-color: #fff; }
You can also add the above CSS in Custom CSS field in the backend as it loads after your theme stylesheet.
February 13, 2015 at 12:34 pm in reply to: How to eliminate header and footer of page on parallax #140726WisdmLabsMemberHi,
Create a new page template file in your theme folder named 'template-blank.php' and write the below code in it:<?php /* Template Name: Blank Template */ //Remove Header with markup remove_action( 'genesis_header', 'genesis_header_markup_open', 5 ); remove_action( 'genesis_header', 'genesis_do_header' ); remove_action( 'genesis_header', 'genesis_header_markup_close', 15 ); //Remove Navigation below the header remove_action( 'genesis_after_header', 'genesis_do_nav' ); //Remove Footer with markup remove_action( 'genesis_footer', 'genesis_footer_markup_open', 5 ); remove_action( 'genesis_footer', 'genesis_do_footer' ); remove_action( 'genesis_footer', 'genesis_footer_markup_close', 15 ); genesis();
Go to backend and edit the page from where you want to remove the header and footer. You would see an option to assign Page template on the right side. Select 'Blank Template' from the dropdown and update the page.
WisdmLabsMemberHi,
Go to line no.2006 of style.css of Outreach Pro theme to change the header color to burgundy from red.
In the below CSS code, I have changed the background color. However, this will also change the hover color of red buttons and red input buttons..outreach-pro-red .button:hover, .outreach-pro-red .site-header, .outreach-pro-red button:hover, .outreach-pro-red input:hover[type="button"], .outreach-pro-red input:hover[type="reset"], .outreach-pro-red input:hover[type="submit"] { background-color: #800020; color: #fff; }
In case you just want to change the header color without changing the button hover color, you can add the below CSS at the end of your CSS file:
.outreach-pro-red .site-header { background-color: #800020; }
WisdmLabsMemberHi,
Remove/comment the following CSS from style.css file:Line No.958
.site-header.dark .title-area { padding: 15px 0; }
Line No.1027
.site-header.dark .genesis-nav-menu a { padding: 20px 15px; }
WisdmLabsMemberHi,
The link you provided ( http://www.hopeassociation.org/ ) doesn't have any red color in the header.
Can you please confirm the URL where you want to do the change?
WisdmLabsMemberHi,
You can use the classes.home-section-1
,.home-section-2
,.home-section-3
,.home-section-4
, and.home-section-5
in your CSS selectors for changing the text colors.Example:
For changing the text color of first section, you can use the following CSS:/*Widget title of home-section-1*/ .home-section-1 h4.widget-title.widgettitle { color: black; } /*Text widget in home-section-1*/ .home-section-1 .textwidget { color: black; } /*Button in home-section-1*/ .home-section-1 a.button { border-color: #000!important; color: #000!important; }
The above CSS is for the first section. Similarly, you can add CSS for all other sections in your style.css

Use the below CSS to remove border-bottom of the last featured post:.home-middle-right .featured-content:last-child .entry { border-bottom: none; }
WisdmLabsMemberHi,
Try removingposition: fixed;
applied to.site-header
in style.css
This will make the header scrollable and users will be able to navigate to all the menu items.
WisdmLabsMemberHi,
You could use a filter to force a layout on the template. Genesis has 6 default layouts.
Refer this link

WisdmLabsMemberHi,
Try adding this in your style.css
div#social{ display:block; } div#social:before,div#social:after{ content:""; display:block; clear:both; }
WisdmLabsMemberHi,
The following CSS will make the site boxed layout with background-image:body { background-image: url('img.jpg'); /*Add the image you wish to display*/ } .site-container { width: 90%; margin: 0 auto; background: #fff; }
WisdmLabsMemberHi David,
Add the below code to your function.php fileadd_action( 'genesis_after_header', 'wdm_change_sidebar_order' ); function wdm_change_sidebar_order() { $site_layout = genesis_site_layout(); if ( 'sidebar-content-sidebar' == $site_layout ) { // Remove the Primary Sidebar from the Primary Sidebar area. remove_action( 'genesis_sidebar', 'genesis_do_sidebar' ); // Remove the Secondary Sidebar from the Secondary Sidebar area. remove_action( 'genesis_sidebar_alt', 'genesis_do_sidebar_alt' ); // Place the Secondary Sidebar into the Primary Sidebar area. add_action( 'genesis_sidebar', 'genesis_do_sidebar_alt' ); // Place the Primary Sidebar into the Secondary Sidebar area. add_action( 'genesis_sidebar_alt', 'genesis_do_sidebar' ); } }
WisdmLabsMemberWisdmLabsMemberHi,
On inspecting I found that the scroll is coming because of <ins> element. Try and add the below CSS:#aswift_2_expand, #aswift_1_expand, #aswift_0_expand { display: none !important; }
