Hi Jimmy,
you need to add margin to your post title in your child theme style.css file
h1.entry-title { margin-bottom:10px; }
WisdmLabsMemberHello Tessa,
If you want show an image from the media gallery you can use wordpress function wp_get_attachment_image_src( $attachment_id, $size, $icon );
You can find more about this function at http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wp_get_attachment_image_srcyou can create your callback function in following manner:
function callback_function() { /** * You will have to replace $attachment_id with the actual attachment id of the image in your WordPress Database. * You can get this id by going to the media library page in your WordPress backend and in url * (http://example.com/wp-admin /upload.php?item=621) the ?item= is the attachment id. */ $image_attributes = wp_get_attachment_image_src( $attachment_id, 'full' ); if( $image_attributes ) { ?> <img src="<?php echo $image_attributes[0]; ?>" alt="full width image below header" /> <?php } }
You may also have to add a class to this image and add CSS as required.
WisdmLabsMemberHey,
You can try this https://github.com/cdukes/bones-for-genesis-2-0
It is a bare bone genesis child theme for starting projects.
WisdmLabsMemberHey,
I did check your site. Make following changes to the CSS.#wrap #header{
background-size: contain !important;
}
@media only screen and (max-width: 720){
#wrap #header{
height: 100px;
}
.header-image #title-area, .header-image #title-area #title, .header-image #title-area #title a{
height: 100px;
}
}
@media only screen and (max-width: 420){
#wrap #header{
height: 45px;
}
.header-image #title-area, .header-image #title-area #title, .header-image #title-area #title a{
height: 45px;
}
}

March 17, 2015 at 1:21 am in reply to: Sixteen Nine Theme – Center site title above blog Image #144700WisdmLabsMemberChange your css as below
line number 461 in style.css.site-container { max-width: 1280px; margin: 0 auto; }
line number 867 in style.css
.site-header { background-color: #000; color: #999; padding-top: 40px; position: fixed; text-align: center; width: 100%; z-index: 9999; left: 0; }
line number 471 in style.css
.site-inner { max-width: 1040px; margin: 74px auto 0; }
WisdmLabsMemberHi,
The div for clearing floats should be under the last one-half div
and the class to clear the float should be 'clearfix'
Your structure would be as follows<div class="one-half first"></div> <div class="one-half"></div> <div class="clearfix"></div>
Your img tag is having a class 'aligncenter' which center aligns it, if you need the image to be placed left/right use alignleft and alignright classes respectively.
WisdmLabsMemberHello joneards80,
For the logo issue, you need to modify your themes style.css as follows:
find
line 1166
.title-area {
display: inline-block;
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
height: enter height that you want.
width: enter width that you want.
}
line 1816
.header-image .site-title > a {
width: enter height that you want
max-width: same width you entered above
}
line 1202
.header-image .site-title > a {
background-color: #FFF !important;
background-position: center center !important;
background-size: width height !important;
float: left;
height: height that you want;
width: 100%;
}
When increasing the height and width make sure you do not exceed the size where the logo overlaps the navbar or the navbar shows below the logo.
WisdmLabsMemberHey dbenson,
For each post there is a option for choosing a layout just below the content editor in the backend. It looks like sidebar-content option has been selected for http://www.therightfits.com/2015/03/fashion-friday-stitch-fix-6/. You can select default layout or content-sidebar option on that post.
March 13, 2015 at 11:20 pm in reply to: header image won't align completely left – parallax pro theme #144368WisdmLabsMemberWisdmLabsMemberHi rbarnes,
Add a class to your input type submit for eg
<input alt="PayPal - The safer, easier way to pay online!" name="submit" src="https://www.paypalobjects.com/en_US/i/btn/btn_donateCC_LG.gif" type="image" class="wdm-paypalsubmit">
and add the below styling for this button
input.wdm-paypalsubmit { width:auto; }
WisdmLabsMemberHi,
Assuming that your call to action menu button will always be the last menu item, you can use the CSS selectors which I have written in my previous reply.
WisdmLabsMemberHi,
Change the add_action code as below:
add_action( 'genesis_after_header', 'home_image_widget' );

div#sidebar { position: absolute; height: 100%; right: 0; } .avada-row { position: relative; }
For Lifestyle Pro - http://theberkeleyperformingarts.org/about/, add the following CSS:
.content-sidebar-wrap { position: relative; } .content-sidebar-wrap:before { content: ''; display: table; } .content-sidebar-wrap:after { content: ''; display: table; clear: both; } .sidebar { background-image: url('http://theberkeleyperformingarts.org/wp-content/uploads/sidebar_bg.gif'); position: absolute; height: 100%; right: 0; }
And remove the background-image from individual widgets.
WisdmLabsMemberI had a similar issue. When i modified my code for showing a 'Read More' for automatic as well as manual excerpts, i could still see [...] for automatic excerpts. I solved it using 'excerpt_more' filter and returning a empty string:
function custom_excerpt_more($more) { return ''; } add_filter('excerpt_more', 'custom_excerpt_more');
