Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorYou copy that code into a text editor and save it as page-landing.php. FTP into your site and save the file in your child theme directory.
Using this as an inner page may not produce the results you desire. BY default, landing pages do not have headers or menus. When used as an inner page, if anyone visits the page, make sure they have a way to return to your site.

Unless a plugin already provides responsive CSS scripts, you'll always have to adjust the media queries yourself. There is no better way.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorLanding pages don't have headers or navigation bars. Brad didn't suggest that you change the page template. When you edit any page in a Studio Press, theme scroll down below the content. There is a metabox called Layout Settings. If it's not expanded, then expand it and select the full-page layout. Changing the layout only affects that page. If you don't see the Layout Settings metabox, then click on the WordPress Screen Options tab on the upper right of the editor page. Make sure Layout Settings is checked, then scroll down and do as explained.

If you are using the Login With Ajax plugin, you can place the widget in the header right widget area.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorDo you have any filters set in functions.php to set default quantities. Look for code in your functions file that resembles the code below to work with the woocommerce_quantity_input_args filter. Code like this will always reset the quantity to 1. Other than this guess, this may be a question for WooCommerce support because this is not about a Studio Press theme.
add_filter('woocommerce_quantity_input_args', 'default_quantity_values'); function default_quantity_values( $default ){ $default = array( 'input_name' => 'quantity', 'input_value' => '1', 'max_value' => '1000', 'min_value' => '1', 'step' => '1', ); return $default; }

Have you requested your free website audit yet?March 1, 2016 at 2:13 pm in reply to: Is there a way to make certain words in the tagline bold? #180365Victor FontModeratorThere are a couple of ways to do this, both require overwriting the genesis function. Add either to your theme's functions.php.
First method is to add the tagline directly in the function. Change the value of $inside to whatever you want your tagline to be.
remove_action( 'genesis_site_description', 'genesis_seo_site_description' ); add_action( 'genesis_site_description', 'my_seo_site_description' ); function my_seo_site_description() { //* Set what goes inside the wrapping tags $inside = '<span color="red">my description</span>'; //* Determine which wrapping tags to use $wrap = genesis_is_root_page() && 'description' === genesis_get_seo_option( 'home_h1_on' ) ? 'h1' : 'p'; //* Wrap homepage site description in p tags if static front page $wrap = is_front_page() && ! is_home() ? 'p' : $wrap; //* And finally, $wrap in h2 if HTML5 & semantic headings enabled $wrap = genesis_html5() && genesis_get_seo_option( 'semantic_headings' ) ? 'h2' : $wrap; /** * Site description wrapping element * * The wrapping element for the site description. * * @since 2.2.3 * * @param string $wrap The wrapping element (h1, h2, p, etc.). */ $wrap = apply_filters( 'genesis_site_description_wrap', $wrap ); //* Build the description $description = genesis_html5() ? sprintf( "<{$wrap} %s>", genesis_attr( 'site-description' ) ) : sprintf( '<%s id="description">%s</%s>', $wrap, $inside, $wrap ); $description .= genesis_html5() ? "{$inside}</{$wrap}>" : ''; //* Output (filtered) $output = $inside ? apply_filters( 'genesis_seo_description', $description, $inside, $wrap ) : ''; echo $output; }
The second method is to add the HTML markup to the WordPress tagline and use this code:
remove_action( 'genesis_site_description', 'genesis_seo_site_description' ); add_action( 'genesis_site_description', 'my_seo_site_description' ); function my_seo_site_description() { //* Set what goes inside the wrapping tags $inside = html_entity_decode(get_bloginfo('description')); //* Determine which wrapping tags to use $wrap = genesis_is_root_page() && 'description' === genesis_get_seo_option( 'home_h1_on' ) ? 'h1' : 'p'; //* Wrap homepage site description in p tags if static front page $wrap = is_front_page() && ! is_home() ? 'p' : $wrap; //* And finally, $wrap in h2 if HTML5 & semantic headings enabled $wrap = genesis_html5() && genesis_get_seo_option( 'semantic_headings' ) ? 'h2' : $wrap; /** * Site description wrapping element * * The wrapping element for the site description. * * @since 2.2.3 * * @param string $wrap The wrapping element (h1, h2, p, etc.). */ $wrap = apply_filters( 'genesis_site_description_wrap', $wrap ); //* Build the description $description = genesis_html5() ? sprintf( "<{$wrap} %s>", genesis_attr( 'site-description' ) ) : sprintf( '<%s id="description">%s</%s>', $wrap, $inside, $wrap ); $description .= genesis_html5() ? "{$inside}</{$wrap}>" : ''; //* Output (filtered) $output = $inside ? apply_filters( 'genesis_seo_description', $description, $inside, $wrap ) : ''; echo $output; }

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorThat happens because of the z-index dimension on the menu. Z-index allows the menu to sit above the rest of the content. Think of it as a layer atop the content. The linking works in the current layer and isn't aware of layers in front of it. You could use a plugin like Page Scroll to ID where you can set an offset to account for the header height. https://wordpress.org/plugins/page-scroll-to-id/

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorThere is no Edit CSS option. You have to open style.css and edit it directly. This is the Appearance/Editor menu. It's not a good idea though to use the built-in WordPress editor to edit theme files. If you make a mistake, you could potentially bring your site down. A better approach is to access the site through FTP, edit your files locally then upload them. If you use the WordPress editor and bring the site down, you'd have to access the site through FTP anyway to get it back up again.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorPlease deactivate autoptimize while troubleshooting. It's not possible to tell where the the css issues extend from when files are minified and concatenated. Minifying css and javascript can also cause a variety of issues that don't exist in the un-minified file.
