    HI there,

I've been kludgyly trying to make a login look good on my site. I'd like it in the upper-right and to look good on devices.

I'm using Child-Sample as my child theme.

It occurred to me tonight that they might be a way to place it (through a hook??? - I can put code into a functions file, but can't build code) at the top where I'm not using the header widget but some other way. Thought I'd come here and ask if there is a better way. There MUST be, I see what I want all the time.

So what new wrinkle do I need to learn?

    Thanks for help.

If you want to experiment with hooks, install the Genesis Simple Hooks plugin. If you are using the Login With Ajax plugin, you can place the widget in the header right widget area.

HI Victor (is Font really your last name?)

I AM using the header right widget area. Then I start playing with sizing and padding etc to make it look good on the desktop and it looks awful on small screens (iPad and iPhone). Of course I can style each of those devices in media queries. Having seen that other elements are more responsive I was wondering if there isn't a better way?

    Thanks

Yes, Font is really my last name.
Unless a plugin already provides responsive CSS scripts, you'll always have to adjust the media queries yourself. There is no better way.

Okay. Glad I asked. Now I know and won't be wondering if I was going down the wrong path. : )
