    Thanks Victor - I should have explained that I want to use the quote style in one of the front page widget areas. I's that possible? Many thanks again.

    Thanks Brad, I did try that, but it just appears in the sidebar as unstyled text without the checkmarks.

    It's OK - I have deleted my first post and started a new one that seems to be working. Thanks very much anyway. Best wishes.

    OK, really going nuts here - out of frustration I installed the Classic Editor plugin. Still no sign of a simple button to publish my post, just that annoying schedule button. I have clearly done something wrong, but need help 🙂

    Yes, you can't always persuade clients to change their minds, but it looks wonderful regardless, well done again 🙂

    Wow, that looks brilliant! My only, very small, problem is that although the text on the pages looks very elegant, it's a little small, and the set line length (at least on a desktop browser) is a bit too long. But apart from those tiny suggestions I think it looks amazing. I bet your clients are happy 🙂

    I think that it looks really clean and professional, well done! Maybe adding a clear link back to the home page in your header navigation menu would be a good idea, especially as your content grows and you add more pages. Fantastic first effort 🙂

    Thanks everyone, this is now resolved thanks to StudioPress support.

    You can make the header image use the higher resolution version of your logo by adding this CSS to the Appearance / Customize / Additional CSS area:

    .header-image .site-title a {
            background-image: url(http://link to image in here) !important;
    }

    Hi Carasmo, thanks so much for your code and for picking up that error in my CSS - very much appreciated. It works perfectly now. Best wishes, and thanks again 🙂

    Having a lot of trouble - can't find a solution, although I'm sure it must be a simple one. I have somehow switched off the dark screen over the Agency Pro backstretch image and need to restore it. Would be grateful for any advice, thanks 🙂

    Just looking at the demo - it already has the image darkened, somehow I have turned this feature off and can't work out how to get it back to the original state. Combing my style sheet at present for a solution . . .

    Hi!

    I'm very impressed with the Essential grid plugin. I haven't yet used it on a launched site, but have every confidence that it will be really good. I'm using it to build a site at the moment, and all my testing is going very well.

    I too struggled to find an efficient method to set up a portfolio, and EG is proving to be be perfect for the job.

    It works fine on Genesis and Genesis child themes, and its mobile responsiveness if first class.

    I have not yet had to ask for tech support, but the documentation is good and I feel as though the help is there should I need it.

    There is a great series of videos here:

    http://www.themepunch.com/faq/essential-grid-video-guides-tutorials/

    There is a bit of a learning curve, but these videos really help, and yes, it is predominantly built for non- coders, but it has further potential for modifications and customisations if you want/need to go further.

    I purchased the regular license which allows me to use it on one site only, but given its usefulness I would be more than happy to purchase more licences on an as-needed basis for other projects - it's that good.

    I hope that helps but feel free to ask me anything else if you need to.

    Hi adessowebs, I'm afraid that I ended up using this plugin instead:

    http://codecanyon.net/item/essential-grid-wordpress-plugin/7563340

    It's a premium plugin, but it did what I needed. Time became a big pressure and it was easier to do what I needed with the plugin, rather than coding.

    I hope that helps 🙂

    Great, thanks Jeff,

    Good work picking up the missing coma - the code works really well. The padding on the .front-grid section is a great idea - it lets me fine tune the spacing nicely.

    Thanks very much for your help and code suggestions, much appreciated!

    Thanks Jeff, I tried your code but sadly it didn't work - there was no effect.
    Do you have any other thoughts?
    Thanks again

    It's OK - I think I have worked it out. This code seems to work, but only if I paste it directly after the existing code under "Entries". Previously I had been adding code to the end of my style sheet.

    /* Entries
    --------------------------------------------- */

    .entry {
    	background-color: #fff;
    	border-radius: 3px;
    	margin-bottom: 40px;
    	padding: 40px 40px 24px;
    }

    .page-id-128 .entry {
    	background-color: #000;
    }

    Thanks so much for your reply - that has certainly given me some leads to follow. I'm away from my workstation right now , but I will try again when I return later. Thanks again for your help, much appreciated, and I'll let you know how things go.
