    Stretch Theme questions

i did send a ticket and the response just came that it ‘s so general…i tell them there is a bug or in any case this should not look like this with the footer and they tell me to search the forum or use firebug!!

common guys…one thing that distinguishes your brand from others is service..this request is not for customization but rather for a bug that you should have tackled already..

    quoting myself...

still no solution...anyone that has a suggestion with this?

One more thing to note – this is the community forum, not support. If you have technical issues related to Stretch, you need to go to my.studiopress.com and submit a support ticket.

S… in regards to the snippet – “you have not fixed this??” I hope you didn’t think I created that theme and was referring to SP. 🙂

    of course! 🙂

I am familiar with Firebug and it's indeed very practical.

Regarding freelancer, although not planning to use one in the current project, where do you suggest looking for one and what are their rates for such a work?

    thank you!

p.s. the topic is still unresolved so anyone else able to give a hand please feel free 🙂

It is not loaded and it quite a "clean" theme, but the fact that I want to add the following

    1. a logo img in the header instead of the text
    2. social media icons
    3. a decent looking photogallery

should be prerequisites for any theme in the world....

the landing page is an extra that i'd like to see given SPs tendency to offer it in some of their themes.

still, i can tolerate some features missing in order not to overload a clean theme like this - that i guess was the initial concept of the theme.

but still how you launch a theme with a critical bug - i refer to the footer moving higher in low-content pages - and after so many months you have not fixed this??

hope i made my view clear.

I already experience the limitation and wonder why it lacks flexibility while it's so well done.

so how do i put a nice looking photo gallery in it?

Thank you for the reply anitac!

unfortunately some of the suggestions do not work with this specific theme.

    here it goes:

    1. Stretch doesn’t come with a landing page as you can see. You will need to create one or if you have other SP themes, you can copy the landing page template from one theme over to Stretch and customize that.

I will check this..any suggestions on which theme to copy from?

    2. You can use the footer area for your social media buttons. You may have to hardcode them in as it’s not a widgetized area.

the footer area is kind of buggy with this theme. if the post / page does not contain a lot of text / content the footer moves up even in the middle of the browser/screen! i have asked for help from support but still no answer and i worry that if i do not get a solution i would have either to change theme or disable footer...any ideas?

    3. You can add a logo by going to Appearance > Header. You may have to customize the size in the functions.php file before proceeding.

in this theme there is not such an option...any other suggestion on how to incorporate a logo?

    4. I am not sure how that got resolved. I know others asked this same question.

    5. You can use NexGen Gallery, or use the new Gallery feature in Jetpack. You can search the wordpress repository for some solutions that will fit your individual needs and appearance.

i will check this but i am afraid that the limitation of widget areas will cause me a problem. i still wait for official support on this as there must be a way to show a photo gallery in a such a nice and fully responsive theme...

hope others can give a hand here...;)

still, thank you very much for your help !!

    Hi to everyone,

I am also seeking for a similar solution.

@desingbytracy: what did you finally use?

Anyone else that have used the suggested plugin by RobG with a StudioPress theme?

    what about the MaxGalleria plugin?

    thank you in advance!

    Jim
