is there a way to use the Genesis responsive slider plugin with Stretch theme?

This theme doesn't come with any widgetized areas except for the navigation. It doesn't use sidebars either. If you want widgetized areas you will need to register new sidebars in the areas where you want them. But how you see the theme is how it comes.

I already experience the limitation and wonder why it lacks flexibility while it's so well done.

so how do i put a nice looking photo gallery in it?
