I suggest you to use responsive ad unit to fix this.

Earlier it was working probably because the adsense ad unit displayed an image, which is responsive by default. But it may display text or flash content, which will not be responsive.

In future, before you paste content in WordPress editor from somewhere, paste it in a plain text editor like notepad first. If you have any special character in the text, the feed will invalidate again.

Hi, if you just need a separate image at the top then you don't need a custom page template for it. Just insert a different image at the top of each page.
