Thanks Brad,
From a lot of other eCommerce threads that I've read thru here on the forum, it appears that there are a load of additional Woocommerce plugins that you have to pay for to get required functionality.
For this clothing and accessory store what additional plugins would be required? I don't want to leave some critical component out of the pricing....
And BTW, this store will be set up to take payments from international clients as well.

GregLaunchPad777MemberYes thanks Andrea...

Not really....but gave you link to where to make the changes on your thread...

GregLaunchPad777MemberHi Bill,
http://my.studiopress.com/setup/parallax-pro/#step-7
How to Configure the Home Page Background Areas
The Parallax Pro theme includes 3 optional background image areas that will display behind the Home Content Areas 1, 3, and 5.
To set these background images navigate to Appearance > Customize > Background Images in the WordPress admin panel.
Click The down arrow to the right of the image you would like to replace to display the option to upload or remove an image. Follow the on-screen prompts to uploading a new image. The Parallax Pro theme demo uses images with dimensions of 1600px by 1050px for this area. The images used in these areas must be a minimum of 1140px wide. The widgets used in these widget areas will overlay the background images when used.
Hope that helps

GregLaunchPad777MemberHi anitac,
I've looked at the Media Queries but can't get a handle on what would needed to be changed to overcome the problem...
Is there any way you can be more specific? Perhaps give me an example of what to change? That way I can then follow the example and make the other changes...

LaunchPad777MemberAndrea,
You are a total STAR!!!!
How the heck did you spot that? I copied the code from Notepad so not sure how those quotes were formatted....
All working well now.
Thanks

GregMarch 6, 2014 at 9:09 am in reply to: Critical question: Is it possible to control scroll down speed for Parallax Pro? #93665LaunchPad777MemberHi Brad,
Sorry I completely forgot that I had followed the instructions for "smooth scrolling" here:
Basically because Parallax Pro doesn't provide the functionality out of the box...
And I was quite impressed with myself that I got it implemented correctly....
So this allows the smooth scrolling upwards as described but it doesn't allow for smooth scrolling (slowly) when a Nav Menu item is clicked (in other words down to a desired place on th webpage)
Any idea where these bits of code can be amended to do this?
I also noticed that there is a plugin to do this:
If I implement th plugin now will it cause a problem with the existing code that is already added???
Thanks

What would such a rule look like?
And is it better to use padding in this case (rather than margins)?

The design calls for the huge spaces on the left and right...
How do I fix the margins so that it shows properly on mobile devices?

March 3, 2014 at 11:29 am in reply to: Help Please – Need to Identify Background Area to Change Colour #93235LaunchPad777MemberHi chillybin,
Yes you are right, that closes the gap nicely.....BUT it causes another problem in that the heading of Home Section 1 - "Nice to meet you" disappears under the Header....
We are on the right track but need another angle....any ideas Lynne
What do you suggest?EDIT: Scratch that - by just targetting the code for the even numbered sections does the trick! THANKS!!!
.home-even {
padding: 0px;
}Regards
GregMarch 3, 2014 at 4:22 am in reply to: Help Please – Need to Identify Background Area to Change Colour #93166LaunchPad777MemberUpdate:
Downloaded Notepad++ and also the style.css file....Alas, I can now see line 1181 and therabouts but cannot find the home-even anywhere near there. Upon inspection further, there are many "home-even" references.....Can you point me to the right one?
EDIT: Found it on my PC at line 1148.
However, I need the background colour of the whole website to be that grey colour.
What I need t do is to change the colour to white for the small space between the two Sections as depicted in the screenshot.Alternatively, I can also live with changing the space to that blue-grey colour of the section above. Either will do....
Effectively, I need to join the two Sections....
Your assistance is appreciated....

But that is complete "greek" to me.....I wouldn't know how to even go and find that line 1181....
Can you tell me how to go and locate that please?
