    Hello everyone,

I was actually starting to feel quite good that I had accomplished what the client required - but it all came crashing down around me.....

Used Parallax Pro to develop this site http://www.planetwash.co.za

To achieve the look and feel that the designer had created, meant that I had to place margins to restrict the width of the content ....when you look at the website on a desktop it looks and works perfectly.....however, when you view the site on an iPad or tablet the site looks terrible!!!

Firstly, if the tablet is in portrait mode, the Navigation Menu disappears completely but re-appears if you turn the tablet to landscape mode.

Secondly, if you scroll down to sections where the content is narrower, you will see that on the tablet it looks really horrible.
I'm hazarding a guess but I think the forced margins are screwing up the formatting of smaller devices???

Parallax Pro is sold as being Responsive but perhaps I've messed up the theme's ability to be responsive???

    The questions are:
    1. Is there another way of restricting the width of the content that doesn't use margins and will allow the site to be viewed on tablets etc?

    2. Why does the Nav Menu disappear in portrait mode on a tablet? How can this be prevented?
Is there another way of dealing with the Nav Menu that will work properly on tablets and mobile devices?

Any insight and help that you can provide will be most appreciated...

    Best regards
    Greg

The theme out of the box is responsive to the elements you see in the demo. When you start customizing your theme, as you have with this site - you will need to modify the responsive code which is located further down the Style sheet in the area marked Responsive Design or Media Queries. You will need to locate the areas that do not show up properly and make your adjustments as you go along using your mobile device.

    Hi anitac,

I've looked at the Media Queries but can't get a handle on what would needed to be changed to overcome the problem...
Is there any way you can be more specific? Perhaps give me an example of what to change?

That way I can then follow the example and make the other changes...

    Regards

    Greg

I see a big part of your problem is that you are using the "Black Studio Tinymce" plugin. You will need to add that code to your media queries and test it out. Unfortunately doing that for me is beyond the scope of my personal contribution here. If you would like customization service to resolve your issue, please contact me on my website.
